Guest guest
, I know a couple of people with MS, and they say the same things--that they don't get the spacey head thing. It is mostly problems with the legs and balance, you are right. But I have seen so many women on the implant groups with MS-like symptoms who also have complained about the head thing. Vision is also a problem for MS people, and when I got sick, my vision got a little screwy, like I was looking at the world through a bottle. I have had a couple of symptoms that scared me. One morning I woke up about 3 am to go to the bathroom (and this was within the last 9 months or so), and I found that I had no feeling in one of my arms. I mean, it was dead and just laying on the bed--I couldn't even lift it up. I had to use my other hand to pick up my arm and I couldn't believe how heavy and dead and disconnected it felt to me. It was like I was picking up a water laden log off my bed. I was scared and started slapping the heck out of it and after a few minutes I had feeling back to it, but that was absolutely the weirdest sensation I had ever experienced with numbness. I have not experienced it since then. Also, isn't incontinence one of the symptoms of MS? Last month, and some time after my serious bladder infection at the end of August, I was fighting the sensation of burning and urgency all the time, and I am not joking, I was dancing around trying to hold it in like a little kid before I could get my pants down. I tried not to let anyone else in the family see it, but there were times I just couldn't help myself. One time I didn't quite make it. I don't have that anymore either, but I was sure getting worried! I was taking all kinds of things to help me with that bladder urgency, and the one thing I found that helped me the most was a homeopathic product put out by Hylands called " Bladder Irritation " . It really worked. I just put three little pills under my tongue every time I got hit with that feeling and it helped make it go away. I wish I knew what the head thing was too, but my two episodes of using my infrared sauna, 9 months apart, and immediately feeling screwed up each time are a clue for me. The only people cautioned against using a sauna, as far as I know, are people with MS. I want to think it is something else for sure. I will keep searching for answers, but until I know otherwise, I am kind of following a path that MS sufferers find relief from. Guest guest
Patty...is there any chance your sauna could be growing mold? I used to teach in a school that grew mold all over the school....one of my main problems being around mold was the spacey, almost dizzy feeling in my head...then I would go into a sinus infection; had to be on antibiotics monthly during the school year and was fine all summer. Guest guest
are you taking any kind of probiotics such as acidophillus? Just to be sure its not a bacteria problem such as yeast you could purchase a bottle from the health food store and try taking them. They are perfectly safe and if you notice a difference then your on the right track. It might just be worth a try. Guest guest
Hi Kay, My sauna is an infrared sauna, which uses dry heat, so there really shouldn't be any mold anywhere. I have heard of that mold issue, and in fact, one of the ladies on the silicone gel group had to move out of her house due to it, rough time for her. Thanks for thinking about that, though! I am quite certain that the cedar wood that the sauna is made out of is OK and has not been exposed to any moisture. We keep it in our bedroom, not outside, so it doesn't ever get wet, except for our sweat, but we sit on towels, of course. I really do think the heat is an issue, and my body just can't handle the stress from overheating. I hope you are doing well Kay! Let us know--did you get your implants out yet?
