Guest guest
Hi , My internist has frequently suggested the Maalic (sp?) Acid to take in conjunction with all the Glucosamine Complex w/ condroitin, which I take daily. He recommends the Maalic Acid when I'm in a 'flare', like the past 4 weeks, since sugery on my leg. There is only one private pharmacy in Dallas that stocks it, and there's another that will order it for me, yet it takes at least 10 days to get it when it has to be ordered. I've never found it in any health food store or chain pharmacy. I hope you asked Dr. Kolb and/or Dr. Feng about the Mederma. My daughter who is one of us, plus being a Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner suggests this for patients like herself who heal in keloids, or want to reduce scarring ASAP. I will try it on my recent leg surgery if this 'mess' ever starts healing properly, after 2 skin grafts. Next year WILL be better for all of us, if we all work on making it that way! Please stay in touch, and know how much many of us are praying and 'pulling' for you each day. I continue to think your daily postings are good therapy for you as well as many of us! Blessings & Have a Wonderful New Year, Martha M. Guest guest
Hi , Glad you saw your doc today. Do you recall I told you I've been suffering with a chronic yeast infection for almost 2 yrs now? Well I've never had a yeast infection in my life and I've tried most everything and it only subsides but never clears up completely. When I started doing some research on the net before Xmas I started reading about the bacteria associated with the implants and thought ah ha! Maybe there is my culprit. I don't know. I also wondered if I have helped to keep some of the symptoms at bay due to the amount of probiotics I take which are helping to control the yeast. It also helps me with the spacey feeling and brain fog. It might just help you if there is any residual bacteria hanging on during recovery. As far as the coffee goes, I can relate. If you find your headache lasts too long or gets too bad, just have half a cup of coffee. Thats what my naturopath doc told me once when I was trying to cut it out. It didn't last long tho and I'm still drinking a couple of cups in the morning and yes it also upsets my stomach. It just might be contributing to your nausea. Good for you with the walk. Your on the right track kiddo and with each passing day that you feel stronger you will see more clearly what a good decision you have made for yourself. Take care, Jackie ----- Original Message ----- From: egroups Sent: Saturday, December 30, 2000 3:14 PM Subject: Hey Group again with another update....and just some more thoughts. Good luck on your detox diet; I'm thinking of doing one or a fast. love, Kay ----- Original Message ----- From: " " <carina063@...> < egroups> Sent: Saturday, January 06, 2001 3:25 PM Subject: Hey Group I am still hanging in there and I have been out getting some power walking in so that feels great. I have my energy back......I did 5 miles today...so I am feeling great as far as my energy levels..I even stayed up last night till 12am after being up at 5am that morning, so that is awesome for me! Unfortunatly I still have my spacy head....I am embarking on this detox diet that I got from a friend, and that is similiar to Dr.Kolbs diet on her website, though a little more strict. I will try to be strong to stick to it, so far I have given up allot of things, caffiene, pain killers, dairy products, and now I am really going to try not to eat much but fruit and veggies and some grains, soy milk, and herbal teas, oh yes and tons of water. I will keep you guys posted on my progress. Thanks for caring. I would like to hear from ladies that had a verticle lift how long it took for the scars to fade? Thanks,
