Guest guest
I have to agree with both camps. The simple foods make us healthy, I think all agree on that. I also think once we have been stressed, overeating, toxic inside a little help from natural products can jump start us to health. But more I think what is the coolest about this time and place we live in is we get to choose from all of it. I also recall it noted that holistic was not supplements. I dont know or care to look up the definition, but I think holistic is boosting the body to do what it does, whether by proper diet or supplements that might kick start it.I think of holistic as also monitoring what we think...Thoughts manifest our reality. I think we can create miracles or illness, discontent, the status quo. I have always taken what I thought was the natural approach. I breast fed my kids to toddlerhood. Did not vaccinate them. Took them to an accupuncturist who would prescribe herbs. I still take an herb called Immune + when I feel something coming on. I swear by it. I rarely get sick. I also use Xclear for stuff in my nose..and sore throats. I think eating raw veggies is the way to go, but I do stray. I love what Robbins said about changing eating. If you feel this good it isnt worth anything that you put in your mouth to compromise that. (poor paraphrase) I also recently saw an interview on the actors studio with Barbara Streisand. She said when you are committed to something the Universe conspires to assist you. So for me this group is about commitment to health. Sharing what works for us and what doesnt. Appreciating all that play here. And really feeling positive and whole and perfect as we are now. I loved reading the Amazing Liver Cleanse or is it flush. That talks about the symptoms being our bodies perfection in trying to save it from what we are doing to it. OK, I went over my 2 cents. Just wanted to encourage positive quotes that uplift EVERYONE here. Appreciating EVERYONE here. Often what bugs us about someone is what bugs us about ourselves. I think it is more productive to look within when we are bugged as to what it might be about, then to lash out at each other. We are all creating this space. Let's create it in a way we ALL can play and have fun here, exchanging a wide variety of truths. Especially since truth is an illusion. Healing is a lot about what we think, focus on, and belief. gigireiki_ricardo <reiki_ricardo@...> wrote: When I reflect back to when I was young, doctors made house calls. They prescribed things like bed rest, sweating, honey and lemon, soaking in epsom salts, enemas. I can remember going to the doctor(when I was pre-school age), him looking under my eyelids and telling my mother that when I got older I would be allergic to dust. Today they need expensive machines to try and figure out what's wrong with us.When I started eating organic, I realized that this is how food used to taste. Guest guest
GiGi, You are absolutely right. , I apologize for my message to you, which was not very nice. I don't want to become part of the nastiness problem. I felt like hell today and was really mad that the bickering was continuing despite my pleas. Part of the reason it makes me mad is that not only can I not use supplements (because I'm allergic to everything, including the much-touted inulin) but I also cannot do liver flushing right now, per my naturopath's instructions. I hope the tenor of this group improves along the very wise lines GiGi has suggested; I promise to do my part. I suppose this is a good opportunity for me to learn to just delete and move on, instead of trying to change everything I don't like. Guest guest
, I too have been creating the club. I choose to create different for myself anyway here. My commitment is to post uplifting thoughts. No benefits in feeling guilty...moving on and creating from this new space is all we can do. I enjoy the feedback in this club and want to assist in creating a nice space to exchange ideas. gigi <kmabbadi@...> wrote: GiGi,You are absolutely right. , I apologize for my message to you, which was not very nice. Guest guest
No need to apologize to me . You speak with your heart, it is an admirable quality. g > > > > Isn't it funny how a lot of the older simple things kept us > > > healthy, > > > > and a lot of the newer, drug and supplement solutions make us > and > > > > keep us sick, dependant on them, and poor. > > > > > > > > I had a heart attack and was on two meds for it(the doctor > wanted > > > me > > > > on more).
