Lamisil is now available here in UK at a much cheaper price. It is

known by its generic name Terbinafine. Does anyone know any reason why

it may not be as effecting as Lamisil?

Yes know it. I have taken it due to a chronic problem with yeast and unable to sort it with natural supplements which i have used over repeated and prolonged periods. Finally resorted to this.

My GP said he had taken it and he hadnt suffered side effects. He said it was one of the lesser 'toxic' drugs for fungal infections. I didnt suffer side effects either....I am hypothyroid and hypoadrenia too. Certainly no visible signs of a side effect anyhow. I did help with the yeast and one of the things I noticed immediately was my skin stopped itching and so too my ears. (I could at times climb inside my ears and scratch them raw, they itch so much). I had them 'hoovered' out one and that was great too, but when you have a fungal infection this ithcing returns.....aarrgh

So I would say do read the written attatched leaflet, it does say about Liver and Kidneys. Best of luck.

Just been prescribed this anti fungal just wondering if anybody has heard of it before or knows of any interactions with this and adrenals/thyroid. I did a quick google search didnt bring too much up. ThanksSteve

Thanks very much for the reply, maybe i have got another shot at clearing the

yeast! It was actually prescribed by an endocrinologist, the first doctor or gp

that actually recognised the extent of my yeast problems.

I have just bought the stongest milk thistle tablets i could find and i already

have plenty of herbal dandellion tea's ect, and i will give the leaflet a read

shortly.

Cheers

Steve

Excellent; dont forget to take a probiotic alongside the Terbinafine. As an anti-fungal it shouldnt harm the healthy bacteria in a probiotic. The one I am currently taking is a one-a-day Optibac probiotic extra strength 20billion. Unfortunately they are not cheap at around £20 for 30tablets.

Yeast isnt one of those things that so called conventional drs pay too much attention to, unfortunately. In other countries i.e. France, India etc., they always give a prescription for probiotics alongside antibiotics. So that the probiotics can be taken once the course of antibiotics is completed. Its a shame we dont do that here in the UK; it would save them money in the long run as we know how disruptive yeast infections are to our body. Best of luck. Do keep us all informed of how you get on.

Yes i just bought them same ones earlier today and put them in the fridge ready.

I am going to start the anti fungal protocol at the start of next week, i will

keep people posted! I plan to take milk thistle ect for a week first along with

some probitoics to hopefully start on the stronger foot and not on the back foot

straight away.

One final question from your expierence, when is it bes to take the anti fungal

and pro bitoic? Im thinking anti fungal in the morning and pro biotic on the

evening ?

Thanks

Steve
