In a discussion with Noel s, a vitamin A researcher, he said that he'd done research showing that some people do not dissolve enteric coating. I don't know if there's any way to know whether you are dissolving the enteric coating or not, and I'm not sure what factors affect it, but it could be a potential positive for some people and potential negative for others. Guest guest
Hi I know about " potty bullets " and I agree that it's a tough and individual call with supplements generally, but enteric coated probiotics appear to be better for most people so for the majority that's still the best option to try first. We really have no way of knowing but must use trial and error, as people on the list are finding. If people want to high-dose probiotics, then based on numeric calculations I've had on my site for years they can take five to ten times the recommended dose to ensure the starter culture is enough numerically to establish very quickly when taken with the inulin. Even without probiotics at all, the inulin does the job; I just put some good probiotics on my page to give people that option since they are so popular anyway. Guest guest
Yes, enteric coating ensures it will get past the stomach acid, and no, no food of any description goes through the gallbladder. Duncan http://members.shaw.ca/duncancrow/ > > is the enteric coated thing mean it doesn't dissolve until it reaches the intestine or something... i bought some nice probiotics from 'natrol' and it stated they have many layers so it won't dissolve until it reaches the gut... > > here's my question....does that mean it will go through the gallbladder first?
