I am by far no expert on this journey as it is relatively new to me,

but when you mentioned the wheat and rye sensitivity it sent up red

flags. I have recently been tested for celiac disease and am

awaiting the results. It is a great possibilty that I will test

positive for this. From what I have read, it is very common to have

candida infections if you are a celiac. This is because your gut is

overly sensitive and not healthy enough to fight off the invaders.

Just my 2 cents.

Hi, missatreya. Welcome to the group!

First, empathy: I also had parasite-type experiences in the Third World (Yemen), also had negative parasite tests, but took a drug for them that made me feel better. I forget the name of the drug, but it turns out it was an anti-fungal as well, so I now wonder if most of my problem wasn't candida. I had horrible IBS at that time. I also have the tonsil issue -- tonsil stones, they are called. These are harmless deposits of calcium and bacteria, and they fall off after a week. If your water is too mineral rich, you may want to filter it with a Brita.

Second, advice: Your diet sounds really severe. Opinions vary highly on this topic, of course. I prefer avocados, eggs, cottage cheese, or nuts with butter and/or healthful oils and fruits for breakfast and lunch, meat with a grain or seed at dinner. To get your IBS under control, you need to be having a large daily BM. To accomplish that, you can take 1T or more flax seeds daily (ground or chewed thoroughly). (If eaten raw, add an iodine-rich sea vegetable to your diet to counteract the mild thyroid-blocking effect.) The oils help too. Flax seeds are a miracle for IBS patients, as they provide mucus, roughage, and essential fatty acids. Also, I would recommend slowing down on the GSE. It is a really strong product, and you don't want to kill candida so fast that your body can't process the die-off. Also, try to have some fun and be happy -- it helps you get better!

Good health to you,

I highly recommend reading "The Amazing Liver Flush" by s Moritz. I found it more readable the his other book, maybe because I read it first. It answered so many questions. I am with you as far as not sure it is candida or not. Ironically my symptoms flaired when I started Atkins. A few months after I had rectal itching. I would make sure to cut out any thing that irritated it and it got worse and worse. Went to the doctor and given one perscription after another. It tested positive for strep b so given antibiotics. Before this I tried every natural thing I could think of. Including teatree which took a few layers of skin off...Anyway, I kind of think it doesnt matter if it is candida or not. It is definitely an imbalance. I have changed to alkaline foods. Also drinking a green veggie drink from Innerlight and PH drops which have helped. In fact if I dont drink the green stuff with the drops I do start itching a bit. It has almost gone away though. The itching is less

frequent and less severe. In the past it has kept me up. I do have the brain fog you mention but just figured I had ADHD like my son (though I dont really believe it is a disorder but more a personality thing) I am feeling so much better.

I can't recommend that book enough. Also "The PH Miracle" which I read before is really good. It helped a lot and for me at least I think the acidity was the problem. I was eating lots of meat and a few veggies and my spit was 5 and also my urine..which is very acidic. Now on good days it is 7-7.2 and bad 6. I have noticed when my urine goes more acidic I have mild itching.

Good luck to you. Many here have valuable info. I am also taking inulin for my bowel in yogurt in the morning. It does give me some gas so I have it early and then later in the evening as a snack. I occasionally drink the whey or add it in with the inulin. I did take threelac initially and noticed relief immediately..very little itching but within a week or so later it came back. I varied the dosage and it didnt help. I dont know why it worked for a short time.

They say when the student is ready the teacher will come..I have found many teachers here sharing thier experiences.

Hi missatreya,

My body couldn't handle gratefruit seed extract at first. I had to start my anti-fungals with capryllic acid. Garlic is also a very powerful anti-fungal. I get extremely bad die-off when taking this. Some people on this list rotate their anti-fungals every few days. I change mine every three months. I also have to take bentonite and psyllium twice a day to clean out my intestines. Alot of people of this website shy away from bentonite because of possible toxicity. I have found that the benefits outway the risks.

I had the white stuff in front of my tonsils and that is what finally made me realize that my problems were yeast connected. I read in a book that digestive enzymes with HCL would kill yeast. When I took them, the white stuff went away. I tried everything before that because they were giving me extremely bad breath. I used to scrape at them and gargle with everything imaginable, but nothing worked before I took the digestive enzymes.

There is alot of good information on the internet about candida and alot of people here with more knowledge than me that I am sure can help you in your struggle with candida.

Debbie

Hello,

I have been having the same thing for quite awhile and it got to the

point that I needed to see someone. I have been working with a lady

who has been giving me homeopathic remedies. I had also had very

achey joints and muscles.

The things that we found wrong were: Mercury toxicity, candidiasis,

parasites, food allergy (CAUSED BY THE CANDIDIAS), parasite from

water. We worked on the mercury levels and got that out of the way

and now we are trying to get the candidia under control. I have been

feeling a little better, but still have a hard time getting motivated

to go walk. My eyes have cleared up alot( were always red in the

whites, looked like I was always hung over!) So it is a slow process

but I am lucky to have found someone who understands these problems.

Regular doctors seem to bandaid not seek out the problem.

I hope this helps you and good luck!

C.E.
