hi dawn - I am queen of the fast food!! My candida diet fast food.

That Yeast Connection Cook Book has some recipe gems in it. pg. 153

- shrimp stuffed tomatoes, pg. 178 Easy Asparagus soup (use water

instead of the chicken stock they call for.), pg. 179 Eggdrop soup

(no pork ), pg. 186 Meal-in-a-Bowl, pg 193 - the Salad section is great!

here is a great fish recipe that makes me happy:

can of tuna or salmon or both

1 1/4 cups of red lentils

1 clove garlic or 1/2 cup onion (opt)

parsely, dill, oregano/basil, caraway or fennel to taste (opt.)

make into patties and broil on one side for 5-10 minutes and then put

them back in the oven until golden. YUM!!!

Hi Marni, thanks for the suggestions. The fish patties sound good, I didn't

think about canned salmon. I'm not real familiar with red lentils though.

Where do you get them and what kind do I need to look for?

hey dawn,

you can get them at any grocery store. or organic store. They are

usually found in bags by the rice and beans. when cooking with them you

must rinse them fist a couple of times to get rid of the " dust " . boil

for about five minutes or until they are soft ( I use red in my patties

because they are the quickest to cook! Other lentils (green, brown)

take longer.). Uomo is good - safeway brand is good too. hope this helps

Hi Dawn

I would recommend a White Cookbook Beat Candida and also Barbara Cousins

books Cooking Without, they have been lifesavers for me, a has ratings on

her recipes as to the ease of them which I think is great.
