Hi my name is Mox and I have yeast. I've been suffering from yeast

infections for a few years and I attribute it mostly to birth control pills

and antibiotics. I am off of both of them now and I am dedicated to ridding

myself of candida. I have started a juice fast last night with garlic,

celery, beets, apples, and carrots. I have also added acidophilus power to

the juice as well, so hopefully this well help in building up my good

bacteria. Anyone on a living diet?

Primadophilus Reuteri (powder) by Nature's Way. It has to be refrigerated,

so don't buy it if it's not. I picked up mine from The VitaminShoppe for

about $10. I put it in my juice last night and I'm am noticing thinner

discharge. I broke my fast (I'm currently eating sushi for lunch) but I'm

going to continue to juice everyday with the powder.

I'm also going to try a mixture of tea tree oil and olive oil on a tampon

tonight to see if that works.

Do you have a recurring yeast infection as well?

Another idea my former Dr. suggested was to spoon out some plain

yogurt, open up 2 capsules of probiotics and put on top, dip the

tampon in the yogurt being sure you get the powder on it, plug it in

for the night. It seemed to help.

Also, when I had thrush, gargling with plain ole hydorgen peroxide

finally eliminated it....I had liquid Nystatin which seemed to me to

do nothing! Hydrogen peroxide says on the bottle you can use it for

an oral rinse, however, I did dilute with a little water.

Mox,

A cheap and effective treatment for vaginal yeast is to open an

acidophilus capsule onto a finger with a little oil on it and insert

into vagina. It takes several insertions.

An easier option is to buy Probiotic Pearls and stick one in.

I agree with about the acidolphilus capsule. There is also a type that dissolves into the vagina so you do not have to open it up. You insert it whole but make sure it goes really deep inside. That is what I do and I can swear by it. By the way I inserted one into my bum last night but looks like nothing happened, it never dissolved and feels like it is still there just where I put it. Dont ask me why I did it coz I will tell you that I dont know - anyway I was only experimenting. Guess I can only poo it out at this point.

Be careful with the teatree. I used it for my rectal itching and the skin came right off. I later got a teatree ointment and it was better but the ozonated olive oil was the best. Of course I think the most important was illiminating the meat (acid food) from my diet. I think my system was so acidic it was aggravating the rectum. I have been almost symptom free with occasional bouts of itching.

Gigi - How does glutathione enter into the protein equation acid-wise, do you know? My naturopath recommended it to help support the liver.

Be careful with the teatree. I used it for my rectal itching and the skin came right off. I later got a teatree ointment and it was better but the ozonated olive oil was the best. Of course I think the most important was illiminating the meat (acid food) from my diet. I think my system was so acidic it was aggravating the rectum. I have been almost symptom free with occasional bouts of itching.
