Is it your opinion that stevia may still feed the yeast? It is one item we

still have in my daughter's diet, and she has it every day. Would be interested

in hearing. Nights are always the hardest for her, I've sensed it's because

when her body is run down. But lately she's been wanting a no-sugar Popsicle

real bad, which has splenda in it. I don't make this a habit, but doesn't seem

to create a problem other than I wonder if it somehow satisfies the yeast

cravings...

I have also been using Stevia Plus (with FOS) daily, which it seems Duncan

would advise against, so maybe I'm still feeding yeast.

OK, stevia is not the same as Splenda, and I don't know if stevia may

feed the yeast, but probably not. Stevia is so sweet that very little is

required; you're more likely to run into a lot more lactose or other real

sugar as a buffer in stevia powder than the weight of the stevia itself.

Stevia by itself, even if it did promote yeast, would be such a low dose

as to be inconsequential in normal use.

Dr. Biamonte told me Stevia was ok. make her lemonade for a treat. 1 fresh

squeezed lemon " some " stevia in it & add seltzer water. its great!!!!!!!
