Ag Ag, that was better than a good idea; that way to increase bowel bacteria is used by some naturopaths who wish to start a bowel culture quickly. What it entails is to open a couple or so capsules and put them into a small retentive enema, say, a couple of ounces of lukewarm water. It will work much better with 1/2 teaspoon of inulin in it. However, the starter mix will not get up the bowel past the ileo- cecal valve. regards, Duncan Crow

My naturopath recommended it to help support the liver. Presumably because of its bioavailability (less waste, better conversion), good quality cold-processed whey is mildly alkalizing. Take it with selenium 200-600 mcg daily. regards, Duncan Crow
