I would not recommend it. You can do a plain water enema, or a whey enema, which are both milder, and just flush out whatever is making you sick. Also, if you do a warm salt water enema, and retain it, your intestines will absorb the water, so in a way it works to help hydrate you. I did a whey enema last night, and I failed to expel any of it. I just absorbed it. So I must have been pretty dehydrated. Today I am drinking more and will try another one tonight to see if I can get some of the bugs out! Hanida

Sure thing. For the salt water enema I just use the recipe that is posted on the curezone site for the water cure. That is 1 gallon of pure water and add 1 tbs. of high mineral sea salt. I use Real Salt, which I have to buy off the Internet, but the stuff is great! I just heat about a quart or two of the already salted water to a little over body temperature (this is since the enema bag will cool the water slightly, and it takes me a while to get ready....don't want a cold enema). The whey enema recipe I use is 1 or 2 quarts of water and 3 tbs. of a dissolvable whey. If it does not dissolve in water, then don't use it. It will clog your lines. I use "proflora Whey" which is sold by Advanced healing solutions. You can use whatever, but I found this to dissolve the best and it also tastes really good if you drink it. You can also do an acidophilus enema which is the best way to get the probiotics directly to your intestines. You must clean out your colon before you do one though. For this enema you will need a very small amount of water, maybe one or two cups, and open up a bunch of capsules of human compatible acidophilus. (40 to 90 of them) try not to expel it for as long as possible the small amount of water makes it easy, and in one case I expelled none of it. This is a great way to recolonize your bowel with good flora. You can also do lemon enema's, which I find to be very irritating but they clean you out well. I have also heard of garlic enema's but I have no recipe, nor have I tried one. Hanida

Only if they are human strains. Many strains are soil or animal based and they will not implant themselves into a human intestine this way. I think it would be impossible to insert this yourself and hold it and I am just scared to think about how this will work on myself. It is easy to insert. And it does not require holding in if you keep the flow of water slow. All I do is put some oil on the tip, slowly insert it while in a kneeling position, lie down and then start the water flow. I keep my hand on the off valve so I can stop the flow if I get too full, or come across some blockage. Remember this is you and your body. It can be as painful, or painless as you want to make it. I personally, prefer painless so I am very gentle and slow when I do this. Oh, and I think you should try a home enema with yourself, before you go and have someone else give you a colonic. But that is just me. Once you know the procedure you can feel more confident with someone else doing it to you! Hanida

Guest guest
Date: Sat, 10 Apr 2004 18:48:24 -0700 (PDT) From: GiGi Hein <nydio@...> Good luck. Just do the first one to break the ice. Even if you dont hold much you are a step closer to being comfortable. It isnt a race...you cant get it wrong, just relax and do the best you can. Take care. love to you and yours, gigi I just did my first coffee enema yesterday. I've used a homemade colema board before so I used the same tubing and a clean plastic bucket to hold the warm coffee water. I set it on some books on the toilet to raise it high enough. Everything worked great. One of my symptoms of candida has been extreme anxiety. If I didn't take 300 mg of 5-HTP, spaced throughout the day, I had the anxiety and couldn't sleep. Natural antifungals helped with the other candida symptoms but not the anxiety. When I did the liver flushes (I've done two) I found to my joy that I could reduce and then go completely off the 5-HTP. Well, recently I had some awful things happen in my life and the anxiety came back big time! I was so sick and tired of taking supplements that I was determined not to go back to the 5-HTP if at all possible. I am a little overdue for my next liver flush so I'm starting the six days of apple juice now in preparation for it. But, until then, I decided to try a coffee enema. Several people here on this forum mentioned how it relaxed them. Well, as I said, I did one yesterday in the morning and noticed by afternoon that the anxiety had calmed quite a bit. And last night I slept like a baby!! Gosh, I learn so much here!! Thanks, all. Hugs to everyone, Sherry (from Oregon)
