Guest guest
Grumpiness, moodiness and depression can most definitely accompany a candida overgrowth. It will get better as you do. If you are going to do flushes, you will find a lot of emotional stuff (stuff you need to work with) come up...not a bad thing. I can't remember the last time I felt depressed! Guest guest
I don’t think I’m the only one who has suffered from depression as well as candida, but I don’t know how they are linked –wether the candida causes the depression because your body is so exhausted at having to deal with the pressure (and you are unhappy at having to live with the symptoms) or, as has been implied by the mainstream medical proffesion, candida is almost a product of our dwelling on negative thoughts, blaming physical symptoms for simply being unhappy, and focusing on them to the point where they take on a life of their own and become more destructive. I don’t know what I think. But I do get depressed just like you. Impatient, irritable, perfectionist I suppose. Sometimes I wonder if I am dwelling on this thing as an excuse for being generally not at ease with the world. But then you can’t deny these physical symptoms surely? And it’s hard to be at ease with a world where we are so far away from the natural way of life that our bodies are suffering for it! I have yet to read more than a few pages of anything helpful at a time because I fall asleep! 2 paragraphs and I'm out like a light. Anyone else experience that? I sure do appreciate God's sense of humor... as I think I must be a grand example of it. : )
Guest guest
If you're constipated, an enema should help with the irritability. Try drinking some fresh lemon squeezed in water to clean out your system too. First thing in the morning drink a glass of warm water followed by a glass of water with lemon in it. > I am veerrrry irritable lately and it isn't my > nature at all. Guest guest
Of course one gets grumpy. Grrrrr. If you're feeling fluish, have a sore crotch or whatever. Take me, f'rinstance, Miss Sweetness & Light lately. Hear me roar. But at least if you KNOW you're bitchy and you warn your loved ones to clear a path - and crack a joke about it now and then, well, I think it helps. Sickbed humour is good for the health when the sickee is making the jokes. Re: Candida and moods? > I am veerrrry irritable lately and it isn't my > nature at all. The diet is depressing, since carbs are what gives us that emotional boost. cut out the carbs, and you feel depressed, eat the carbs and you feel like crap.......catch 22. But the thing that has not been addressed is that the fungus when it dies releases some serious toxins into your bloodstream that will affect your brain, glands and moods. This is normal. We just need to make the mental association with our moods and bodies......and then drink some more water to flush out these toxins and moods. Doing liver flushes will also bring out moods, but that is different since you are expecting it. Killing the candida with antifungals and meds is something that you do not naturally associate with mood issues. But the light at the end of the tunnel is....it will get better. Hi Hanida, Yes, the yeast releases serious toxins into the bloodstream. This is why I've decided not to use antifungals any more until I've done a few more liver flushes. Before, when I used antifungals, I got some whizbang dieoff symptoms. Since it's up to the liver to detoxify the nasty stuff the dying yeasts put off, I figured I'd help my liver along by getting it in tiptop shape before I use them again. As it is, just doing the liver flushes (I've done two) is making me feel better than I did when I just took antifungals. Guest guest
Tobihorse, I would bet you have a mold allergy. If so, do not eat hard cheese. You could possibly tolerate cottage or cream cheese, but be careful and don't eat it every day. I have a mold allergy, and eating regular cheese for sure would make me depressed. In fact, as an adolescent I was addicted to cheese, and I know it was a major factor in my depression and acne. Do the Abyanga massage recommended by in Key to Health and Rejuvenation. It does wonders for mood, calmness, skin, etc. My husband yelled at me this morning, and I didn't even get upset! Hope you feel better. > In a message dated 3/25/04 7:08:03 PM Eastern Standard Time, > tobihorse@y... writes: > > > Does anyone else get grumpy/depressed? Clean away! if you can get the yeast under control without the side effects of antifungals, then go for it. For me personally, I had severe systemic candida. I did the liver cleanses, and they helped, but not enough. I needed to use the antifungals also. Now I am to the point were I think that the liver-colon cleaning would be just fine by itself. But of course I can't do it right now....so I have to rely on candex, which is an enzyme and has no die off's, to help me until it is safe to do a cleanse again. Guest guest
Barb, I did notice one time that being irritable sometimes has something to do with our hormones. If you notice that sometimes, depending on the individual, some people tend to get very irritable/moody towards/during/after their menstrual cycle. so you could check out that area as well. I do feel that, I noticed and I have learnt to take care of it. Good luck. Aggie
Guest guest
Thank you & Hanida for such supportive advice. : ) I think I'll continue to be " moody " & depressed until I get this darn diet straightend out. No tomatoes, yes to tomoatoes, no cheese/cottage cheese, no carbs/carbs like grains almonds and pumpkin seeds ok. I feel like it will take forever to figure this out. I know I definately know the difference between " that time of the month " depression & moodiness and what I've been going through. I wish I could write it off to just hormones/cyclical changes... but alas that's not my case. : ) > Barb, I did notice one time that being irritable sometimes has something to do with our hormones. > If you notice that sometimes, depending on the individual, some people tend to get very irritable/moody towards/during/after their menstrual cycle. so you could check out that area as well. > I do feel that, I noticed and I have learnt to take care of it. > Good luck. > Aggie
