HI. I just wanted to say something to the women

posting on this site about chronic vaginal yeast

infections, irritation, paper like cuts and the like.

Have you ever heard of vulvadynia? People with

chronic yeast often go on to develop this. Also a

high percentage have fibromyalgia. Anyway, there is

an excellent support site:www.vulvarpainfoundation.org

that addresses this problem. Believe me, there is

help out there. It is a great site. I had vulvadynia

and do very well now.

One other suggestion. The thing that helped--still

helps --me the most was using oral nystatin powder as

a douche. Use a tsp in a quart of water. It is very

gentle, non irritating and works! It must be oral

nystatin powder. Hope this info is of use to someone.

hugs, kathy

Hi Kathy,

Your post is very funny to me (strange) because you

are posting this here... I went about this the

opposite way. I first was in the vulvodynia

newsgroup. The people are very nice but honestly, not

a lot of help because they too are looking at

vuvlodynia as a cause or the main problem, but

candidiasis, leaky gut, IBS, CFS, sinusitis, etc, are

all part of the same problem. I " cured " my painful

swelling, itching, paper cut like tears, etc in about

1-2 weeks using boric acid suppositories and changing

my diet by doing an elimination diet. This way I was

able to remove the foods causing the pain to begin

with. And most of the support sites for vulvodynia

didn't really help me much. It wasn't until I came to

this forum and the leakygut forum, that I really

learned how to deal with these problems.

nystatin powder.. is that something natural or a

pharmeceutical? Most of the people on this forum are

more for natural healing. Since pharmeceuticals are

one of the biggest causes for my vulvodynia, I stay

clear of them. They usually just cover up symptoms and

don't actually fix anything.

*8-)
