This is to thank you all for helping me to see a little bit of light

at the end of the long dark tunnel. I have had a lot of things

happen to lead up to this point in my candida infection.

I had gastric bypass ssurgery 7 years ago with a severe and life

threatening case of sepsis and pnuemonia. I was on over 23 days of

IV antibiotics. This put a lot of stress on my body, the rapid

weight loss also did the same. The surgery was " bad " from the

beginning, but they couldn't repair it for 6 months because of my

poor health. The blind loop syndrome that I had caused toxins to

throw off my liver enzymes. Complicating it more...I had my

gallbladder out 2 years before.

I have a low acid balance in my stomache because of the surgery,

which I am learning contributes to the candida. I am hypothyroid,

which may or may not have been caused by the candida, but doesn't

makes it harder to get rid of. I have hypoglycemia, probably caused

by the poor digestion and the excess of candida and the toxins that

are given off from it.

I have a bad kidney that I have had since I was a small child so I

have to worry about that as well.

So.... here I sit with terrible hives that I have had since June of

2003 and all the other fun yeast related symptoms. I just want my

health and my energy back, but the brain fog doesn't lift and there

is so much to digest here and everywhere when it comes to treating

candida. It gets to the point that a person just throws up their

hands and says...uncle!

I downloaded the " Amazing Liver Cleanse " book and see that I need to

do a colon cleanse, then a kidney cleanse, followed by the liver

cleanse. My doc has me on 100mg of Diflucan every day for the next

6 months. From my understanding, that will just keep it at bay and

when I go off, if I do nothing else, it will be just as bad if not

worse.

Oh, yes, to top it off...I have become very anemic. My ferritin

level was at 4 in January. They did an IV Iron treatment because

mygut just isn't absorbing the iron (probably because the lining is

coated with slime). I'm up to an 8 now, but that is still severely

anemic and they will do another IV treatment in April. This one in

the hospital as I reacted to the last one and they don't want me to

go into shock.

I have a feeling that I have leaky gut as well. I react quickly

from certain foods and get a lot of bloating as well. Stoping diet

pop has really helped with some symptoms. (No nutra-sweet as

well).

I hope that by cleaning out my gut and lymph system that I will be

able to get my health back. I'm not going to be following any

special diet at this time (yes, I know some people believe you

should), but I will follow a healthy balanced diet that is good for

the hypoglycemia. I don't have the energy or brain power right now

to follow anything fancy.

Deborah, I see that you are a Reiki Master? Very interesting. I

read Tarot and believe in metaphysical and spiritual answers to many

things. I feel that this issue for me is about balance and

discipline. I tried to find an easy solution to my obesity several

years ago and it only created a situation where I need to be even

more diligent than I would have had I figured that out long ago. A

friend of mine is a Reiki Master and offered to send healing energy.

I asked that she send the strength, but I know in my soul that this

is an issue that I have to deal with. There is no quick answer, but

I believe that I have found the solution here.

Blessings and light to all!'

Kim-

It really sounds like you have been through some real hardship. My

heart goes out to you. In your situation, you may want to ask s

directly about how you should approach recovering your health. he as

a forum at www.curezone.com and is very generous about answering

questions.

Wow, and I thought I went through a lot.

I agree with . You should definately post your story in the " Ask

s " forum at curezone.

I agree that this is about healing on more than one level. After

doing many liver flushes, and the other cleanses, and feeling much

better, I found that I had an emotional attachment to foods I had

deprived myself of, eating truckloads of foods that are bad for

anyone.

Reiki has helped with that. As have my own spiritual beliefs.

I'm glad that you're on the right road Kim.

Thank you, I will do that. I will probably cut-and-paste what I have

here as I was able to remember it all. I can see that it is such a

vicious cycle for me. It is frustrating that people around me don't

understand. Work has been tough because I have missed a lot of days

and am out of sick and vacation time. Being a single mom, that is

tough to take. Ack! I see that I am rambling again...lol!

Thanks again for the suggestion!

Thanks Rick,

All of our journeys are tough because we travel them alone. Mine

has been rough, but others have had it rougher in many respects. I

appreciate your thoughts.

I am very thankful for my spiritual beliefs and my positive

conviction that I CAN prevail and will only end up stronger from

this battle. It doesn't mean that the prospect of the battle

doesn't scare me. Scares the crap out of me to be honest. I am

afraid of feeling like I can't leave the bathroom and afraid of

having to miss even more work because of being tired from the

flushes. Then I wise up and remind myself that if I don't do them,

I will only prolong the time that I am sick. Sigh.... ahhhh...to be

able to eat what I want, party all night, and never feel any

consequences...

I know one thing... I don't let them give me antibiotics willy-nilly!

THanks again!
