Guest guest
Thanks for your reply Bernadette. But from all I have read, it sure sounds like what you have experienced is the die off phase and have read not to give up. Kind of like it needs to get better a bit worse before it gets better. Did you look into that angle. (Please note I am not am expert here, only someone who's been in information gathering mode.) But today when we spoke with someone who has seen many cases of this yeast overgrowth she is convinced diet alone will do the trick. I am really pushing for the nystatin to get in there and blow it out. Not as a substitute, but just to start off " clean " and then of course let the diet work to keep things under control. Just pulling sugar has created a slight imbalance so when my daughter has the slightest infraction it spins her out. I really want to get clean, but am concerned with the die off phase too. She claimed that prunes will run through and won't give the yeast time to attack it. Any one ever hear of this angle? Thanks, Kari Re: Symptoms and questions-IBS Hi Kari, I also have a problem whenever I try to get rid of yeast. What happens to me is my extremeties become numb and tingling and fall asleep at the slightest pressure. It happens constantly and is much worse than the yeast symptoms. It occured three times, once with coconut oil, once with oregano oil, and once with a probiotic. It gets gradually gets better after I discontinue whatever the cause is. I've never heard of anyone else having this problem. So for now, I am dealing with the mercury toxicity by oral chelation, and hopefully the yeast will get better on it's own with that. Wish I could be more help. Bernadette
Guest guest
Prunes are diabolical for sugar content imo..its true though..they are very hi fiber & very alkilizing so they wld travel trhough a healthy colon very quickly (hence the constipation jokes)... Not too sure about how it wld agree with someone who has slow transit time and /or imbalance in intestinal flora etc...I personally stay away from all dried fruit & go very very easy on the fresh for that matter. Important to remember also that fruit transit time is slowed dramatically if you eat it on top of a more substantial food....eg ..eat steak & salad for tea..then 15 min or half hour later have fruit...the fruit will quickly catch up to the traffic jam of the partially digested recent meal.... & just sit & ferment from there all the long way through ..feeding the candida in the process. Best time to have fruit is on an empty stomach in morning (imo) fwiw Re: Symptoms and questions-IBS Hi Kari, I also have a problem whenever I try to get rid of yeast. Guest guest
> Candida overgrowth is a symptom of the body being unbalanced and/or toxic. > Focus on diet and cleansing your body. Check out this website: > http://www.ener-chi.com/ > > -Patty > I'll go a little off-topic here and post a basic IBS/IBD therapy that's useful for everyone regargless of their disease. It addresses toxin and other issues that are overlooked by a lot of therapies: Reading your last post and this one, it sounds like you have toxin issues all right. Toxins may be a cause of IBD; it's known that toxins not only aggravate bowel disordes but they can cause immune system dysfunction as well. I'll post here a general plan that will improve everyone's ability to dump and break toxins and improve cellular function. This is in addition to nutritional and dietary concerns such as improving bowel flora with sugar-free and FOS-free inulin, your choice of fats (saturated are good, unsaturated produce free radicals and oxidative stress), reducing starch, and pH control. Toxin load results in increased acidity levels and reduced oxygen content to the cells for example. This is one reason why diabetics for example have higher cancer rates. Oxygen (oxdizing) is a major mechanism of toxin breakdown. Dr. Otto Warburg was awarded two unshared Nobel prizes for his work on the relationship between low oxygen levels and cancer. Toxin load also results in malformed cell receptor sites. All of our cellular functions including the immune response and the ability to grow and repair rely on properly formed receptor sites for messaging and control. The glyconutrients in the glycoproteins the receptor sites are made of can be converted back and forth in micro amounts, but it is an energy- expensive 15 step process that sometimes fails. If a person has been sick, toxic, traumatised, malnourished or under chronic stress, failure to convert these sugars and form proper receptor sites can result, probably because the body is conserving energy. Glyconutrients can be taken orally for the time being, until the boy is healthy enough to start creating them again. These are crucial to health, and even 'healthy' people benefit in ways they don't expect, by taking them. Here's the science on glyconutrients; you'll see by searching a few keywords how all the immune system responses can be corrected with this nutrient because they rely on properly formed receptors, and that IBD has an autoimmune component in many people: http://glycoscience.com/ There is a pre-blended mix called Ambrotose, a Mannatech product, you can get by logging into the Mannatech website using a name like Duncan Crow. http://www.mannapages.com/sharethegift/MPGetAssociateName.asp Anyway, a fundamental step, to make a body healthier and reduce the physical energy burden of a toxin load, is a series of liver flushes. They will ensure the liver, the body's major internal organ of toxin processing and elimination, can function correctly by virtue of unplugging the hepatic ducts and improve bile flow. Without doing them, toxins will be recirculated rather than expelled. Here are some pretty graphic pictures of hepatic and gallbladder stones. You can click on a picture to get more shots: http://curezone.com/cleanse/liver/ Here's a good liver/gallbladder flush. Note that this is not the same as a herbal cleanse, which does not flush the liver, rather, it is designed to increase liver function, that is reliant on the cleanse already being performed: http://zeek.ca/4u/article.php?op=Print & sid=38 The major liver support for toxin removal is glutathione, produced somewhat by milk thistle, but especially by whey powder that has been extracted at low temperature to preserve the cysteine peptides. The whey powder on my website is 20% sugar but I and other sources have cold- processed whey that has no sugar in it. The cellular glutathione produced by cold-processed whey and selenium is also the whole body's most important antioxidant, and in IBD, it can be completely depleted at the injured sites. This provides a valuable clue as to the free radical nature of the irritating toxins, and also the free radical cascades that are present in both diabetes, IBD and most other illnesses. In other words, most diseases including IBD have a large degree of chronic oxidative stress, which will go away if a person dramatically increases cellular glutathione. There is a long list of diseases linked to low glutathione, diabetes and bowel diseases included, on my website at: http://members.shaw.ca/duncancrow/HMS-90.html Getting back to Otto Warburg's work, ozone steam saunas at once increase oxygen levels, support all the organs including the liver, break toxins, aid in toxin elimination through sweating, and the therapy promotes the creation of natural antioxidants in the body, glutathione included. High levels of antioxidants reduce disease. IBS and IBD, and diabetes are all successfully treated with ozone therapy. This basic therapy is foundational in nature; inattention to any of these cornerstones will result in a difficult time controlling illness, and not just IBD and diabetes, but dozens of them, that are connected to or result from toxin load, low oxygen, malformed receptors and low glutathione.
