Guest guest
Let us know the results. Why did you stop the coumadin? With your condition, you do not need to be off coumadin PERIOD! For any amount of time. I really wish you could move off that island. You are NOT getting the level of care that you need and your INR levels are frightening. Not to mention you are told that if " you think you have a clot " blows my mind! > > > > > > > > > > > > I am f2f friends with Misty and her story is what made > > me > > > > NOT go on oral contaceptives. Guest guest
I am off the Coumadin, because my INR levels are too dangerous and because they think I got the clot because I was on the pill. I will let you know what happens!!! Re: oral contraceptives > Let us know the results. Why did you stop the coumadin? With > your condition, you do not need to be off coumadin PERIOD! Guest guest
You may have initially gotten the clot because you are on the pill, but also because your physical activity is limited. They need to keep you at a therapeutic level of INR. Not too high, not too low. Too low (without Coumadin) altogether and it is very likely you will get another clot (especially since you have already had one, regardless of the cause of it), which too me this does sound like a possible DVT. They CAN NOT expect you to give yourself heparin shots if YOU suspect a clot! This is playing russian roulette with your life and is totally medically unethical! They MUST figure out a therapeutic dose of coumadin for you... they are going all the way or no way right now. I don't care if they have to test your blood daily until they are able to stabilize your INR levels. This whole situation is making me really mad. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I am f2f friends with Misty and her story is what > > made > > > > me > > > > > > NOT go on oral contaceptives. Guest guest
I am so sorry Misty, I didn't mean to upset you in anyway, I just am glad to get another point of view!! Guest guest
Haven't heard any updates... How are you doing Jackie? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I am f2f friends with Misty and her story is > > what > > > > made > > > > > > me > > > > > > > > NOT go on oral contaceptives. Guest guest
Spent the last hours in the Hospital, with no concrete answers, just stay off your feet and wait till you get a call to get a CAT scan.....it is still very painful, but I don't think it is much to worry about, at least the ER docs didn't seemed too concerned, as they sent me home. Thanks for the concern. Jackie Re: oral contraceptives > Haven't heard any updates... Guest guest
Good Morning all, I just wanted to give everyone an update on the blot clot, swelling etc, saga.......I have torn my hamstring, which has caused alot of bleeding and swelling. I have tried to stay off my feet as much as possible, but apparently it is a long healing process that might need surgery if it has torn it's way away from the bone, I am waiting to hear from my surgeon.....the bleeding is now an issue, as well as clotting due to the fact that I have to stay as immobile as possible, so I am going for weeking Ddimer tests. Hope this reaches everyone well. Jackie Re: oral contraceptives > > > > Haven't heard any updates...
