I was told that what you ingest stays in your body for 4 days i dont know

if that mean that you will feel the effects right away but for me i dont

want to go for a month denying myself of the things i crave to throw it away for

15 mins of pleasure and then have to fight for 4 days again to get back to

square one of recovery

Help needed!

I am getting ready to radically do what I have to do to change our family's

diet in order to combat the yeast overgrowth monster in my 7 year old daughter.

I have a pretty fair understanding of what I can and can't eat, but am

completely inept cooking wise to execute. I'm looking for input on a book that

might be at least a good start. But more than just a cookbook, I'd like to be

able to see for example a list of breakfast ideas to choose from. I've looked

at some of the most popular diet philosophies out there between SCD; Feingold;

NFNC. (She needs to be gluten free for now as she tested positiviely to a

sensitivity here.) I am leaning towards the SCD except would be pulling out the

fruit angle. I've heard good things about this as with the best comments

coming from people that modify it a bit. Or am I missing something basic like a

for candida specifically program?

Tonight my daughter started whining that she was hungry. I do know it was

the yeast beast inside talking because she did have a few pieces of candy at

school, but beyond a few choices I was out of ideas to even offer!

One other general question, is there any standard length of time that elapse

after an infraction and when the symptoms appear? We are trying to untangle

all of this, and am often perplexed with the timing. Her worst time is always

at night. Makes me wonder if it was dinner; lunch (takes that long to do it's

thing); or maybe just an out-of-gas and end of the day thing? Also oddly the

day after a sugar infraction if it was a bad one then she wakes up a mess

too. (Hung over like).

Thanks,

Kari

Here in the UK there is a book by a White. You can get it on

Amazon, so you should be able to order in the usa if that is where

you are located. Very good book with info on candoda from personal

experience.
