As mentioned in a previous post, I have a rash on my shins, and a

sample of the skin was sent to the lab for analysis, and it came

back saying yeast (candida albicans) was present.

I also have a white spot in my throat, which I am assuming is

yeast. Also, I have recurring vaginal yeast infections.

Anyhow, yesterday I went to the doc and he prescribed:

- Lamisil 1% Cream (terbinafine hcl) (an ointment for my shin)

- PS-Nystatin (oral rinse for mouth)

- Apo-Ketaconazole (Am supposed to take 400 mg. today, and 400 mg.

in a week).

Has anyone here ever found any of these medications to be

effective? And if so, when can I hope to actually see any results.

Thank you. :)

when i started this treatment program i almost cried to my dr about not being

able to have coffee

she said if i really had a bad day and needed to have a cup have it but

remember that it would take 4 days to get out of my system

so... Question? If you are not doing that well on your diet arent you

defeating yourself ???

Seems to me this is not a diet you can legally cheat on

I am nystatin right now frog and it is helping me with my thrush, but I am

also taking garlic, grapefruite seed extract and Pau d' Arco, and I am also

trying very hard to stick to the candida diet, wich I must say some days I don't

do so well.

  • 2 weeks later...

I keep a bottle on hand and use a tablespoon or two and swish it all around

my mouth when the thrush acts up.

Tammy,

How much Nystatin do you use each day, approximately. My doc put me

on some drops, but it was a tiny amount, and it has not helped.

Thanks,

Becky
