Guest guest
Anybody know much about Fructooligosaccharides? They come in kefir milk products and promote the production of friendly bacteria. ~H
Guest guest
"FOS" for short, is sweet and added to Stevia., and sold as Stevia plus to add to, for example, herb teas, instead of sugar. I use it in moderation and it does not make my Candida worse, but I couldn't say for sure that it helps.HB <turnpiketramp@...> wrote: Anybody know much about Fructooligosaccharides? FOS is a prebiotic but being composed of the shorter chains, it can also feed some organisms we don't want. In addition, FOS also contains 11% or more sugar. Here's a chart of some of the bacteria that survive on FOS and native inulin, which contains some FOS. (And other prebiotics compared) ....about 4 screens down from this link: http://members.shaw.ca/duncancrow/inulin_review.html#IIIa Note that a few not mentioned such as klebsiella also can use FOS but not inulin.
