It took me a long time to realize that it wasn't going to go away on its own and that there is no " cure, no magic bullet (and we are all so used to going to the doctor for any ailment and being given a pill). I would say that having Candida is like having, say Diabetes, or a number of other conditions where you have to watch your diet. A number of times I have gotten tired of being sick and have gone on a healthy food regimen and taken probiotics, etc., and my health has improved immeasurably. But eventually I'd go back to my old eating patterns and in time, I was feeling terrible again. So I guess what I'm saying is that while I don't think there is a " cure " , you can certainly get this condition under control and keep it that way. But it does require eliminating some things from your diet. But, on the positive side, once you have eliminated sugar and white flour, etc, etc, from your diet, after a time you don't get the food cravings and it does becomes easier. In any case, after 14 years of a very disrupted life, I have decided that the food sacrifices are worth it. Because if you aren't feeling well, everything loses it's lustre. Don't be discouraged just because you can't find an MD to help you. You can help yourself. There is a lot of very valuable information on this site and some very helpful people. Guest guest
Yes- I think I can say I am " cured " of candida, but I have also realized that candida is only a symptom of other underlying problems- most probably poor digestion and or body toxicity. in fact, the body uses and farms candida to deal with a toxic body. good luck killing it permanently if your body wants it there. until most people change the way they look at candida, they will never escape the vicious circle of helish diets, unending expensive supps and products, probiotics ect and overall misery. It took me less than a year to clear candida, still working on the underlying problems. I never followed the " candida diet " . I ate fruit and other foods (not processed sugar and not processed foods with chemical additives). If you really want to feel better and have an open mind, review all the cleansing protocals at www.curezone.com (colon, kidney and liver), and read, " the key to health and rejuvenation " by andreas moritz. it may not work for everyone, but I have been there, and I know that the traditional alternative treatment for candida (if that isn't ironic) doesn't really get at the problem, just makes you poor and miserable. johng > Can anybody tell me , does anybody know of anybody that has been > cured from this horriable problem we call candida, I have tried so > much stuff, I am thinking that there is no light at the end of the > tunnel, and the doctors say there is no such thing as this, I wish > they could walk in my shoes for a day
Guest guest
Hi , Thanks so much for your post. If you will indulge us all and let us know what your candida symtoms were before you started treatment, and how you feel and live your life today? I know Id' find it more inspirational because I am in my 5th month of candida treatment and I think I'm at the tail end (no pun intended) and I'm really hopeful! So your story can really put me over the edge! on 12/2/03 11:02 AM, jcgre at johngrellner@... wrote: > Yes- > > I think I can say I am " cured " of candida, but I have also realized > that candida is only a symptom of other underlying problems- most > probably poor digestion and or body toxicity. in fact, the body uses > and farms candida to deal with a toxic body. good luck killing it > permanently if your body wants it there. until most people change the > way they look at candida, they will never escape the vicious circle of > helish diets, unending expensive supps and products, probiotics ect > and overall misery. > > It took me less than a year to clear candida, still working on the > underlying problems. Guest guest
I had bad skin and allergies since childhood. repeated fungal infections, including feet and toenails. poor digestion, gas, developed a huge gut and ended up with chronic sinusitis with headaches. That's when I became aware of fungal overgrowth and concluded that it was the cause of my problems. With that in mind, i did the usual natural antifungals, gse, olive leaf extract ect ect. and I also read everything I could. everyone is smart enough to figure this out themselves if they just devote enough time. I spend a lot of time on the old healthy awareness web site, and I started to see patterns in people who recovered. I also son so many people who never recovered after years and years of the candida diet with antifungals. That convinced me that " killing " candida was not the solution. so I read more. I found a few natural doctors who claimed that the body, when compromised, uses candida to deal with body toxicity issues. it all made perfect logical sense. that's why you can't get rid of it, your body wants it and needs it... so I read more. I realized that the candida diet is a band-aid at best, and that at worst, could greatly worsen your health. starving the candida will only make it dig deeper.. and it can survive eating other foods, or worse still, you. I started cleansing protocals, first colon... noticed huge improvements. Tried miracle 2 detox baths, noticed more huge improvements and the hot soaks sucked toxins and acidity right out of the body. Finally, it all just made sense... as soon as you rid your body of whatever underlying problem ails it, the candida problem will quickly fade away. In the " key to health and rejuvenation " andreas Moritz outlines a natural cleansing program. Of course there is a diet, but it is balenced and healthy. the main goal is to clear out all body toxicity and rejuvenate body mind and spirit. I can't recommend that book enough. If I had found it a year ago, I would be totally well now, and would not have wasted any money on useless probiotics, vitamins and whatever crap products people prey on all of us are out to sell you. no antifungals either. hope that helps. I realize my approach advocates different things, but I believe people should be able to read everything, and make up their own minds. you can take control over your life. johng > >> Can anybody tell me , does anybody know of anybody that has been > >> cured from this horriable problem we call candida, I have tried so > >> much stuff, I am thinking that there is no light at the end of the > >> tunnel, and the doctors say there is no such thing as this, I wish > >> they could walk in my shoes for a day > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I couldn't agree more! I have the book also, and have done 6 liver flushes to date, feeling better with each one. Last night I had 4 bowls of crap cereal, and a candy bar. Before the flushes, I would have been bedridden for at least a week. I'm fine today, and just spent 2 hours at the mall, which was unheard of for me in the past with all the smells there. Can you tell us more about the detox baths ? I've tried the footpads, and had good results with them. Great post johng!!!!! You can read up about it at our website under Miracle II Products. The protocol is simple - half oz of soap and half oz of neutralizer, and spend 20 minutes in the tub with that. Additionally take some of the Neutralizer in your drinking water. People have healed all manner of trouble this way. It is the alkalizing process. I heard that pathology can only exist in acid environment. www.mandalavillage.org/lec/
Guest guest
Sure Rick- there is a product out there called Mircle 2 soap and nuetralizer, it sounds very odd, but its a great product. you put some of both in a very hot bath and soak for a least half and hour. you can also drink some of the neutralizer. it sucks toxins from your body, really good stuff.. in fact, there are two that focus on it.. do a search and see if you can find one. one is run by an older couple who sell the soap, I am not fond of that group, the other small group was started by users... check it out. also, prices vary on the internet, so check around. g > > I had bad skin and allergies since childhood. repeated fungal > > infections, including feet and toenails. poor digestion, gas, > > developed a huge gut and ended up with chronic sinusitis with > > headaches.
