Guest guest
Sorry, I know you all aren't Bush or Pamela (although she is a shrewd woman). My apologies to the Americans on this list. Blame your TV (which is on our TV too). Keen RE: Re: Re: diet opinions <<I'm Canadian so I'll ignore your comment. I pointed out intenational research that is available to anyone from any country. Diverticulitis is not really related to candida specifically as much as bowel toxins generally, and fiber helps to keep it moving. Inulin should help too, by correcting the bacterial fluorish. > As she is getting older (mid-50s), she is starting to have > osteoarthritis and a ruptured disk pressing on her sciatic nerve. Guest guest
" You can add butter onto your steak. I remember one time a few years ago on NN was telling a guy who was trying low-carbing that he had to eat more saturated animal fat to get rid of his carb cravings, and the guy just couldn't figure it out, said he was already eating tons of fat. " you and are right about this! I have started adding fat to my meats, and I feel more satisfied after eating. Not only that, but the meal tastes so much better. It has always been difficult for me to eat " plain meat " - I always preferred stif fries, coconut curries, etc. Well, taking that into account along with the fact that I LOVE fatty sausage (it is almost the only meat I can eat without doing anything to it), it is clearly that I needed more fats with the meat. I seem to need rather high amounts, too, but I do have a fast metabolism. Thanks, Olif

We've been pretty brainwashed into thinking any added fat is a lot of added fat. If you're taking out the carbs, you have to replace them with fats in order to replace your energy, so you'll have to add more fat on a low-carb diet. I'm in favour of people using varied protein. The omega-3's should be EPA and DHA; the LNA from flax oil doesn't nearly cut it. Also, most people get enough omega-6 oils and don't need it in the oil supplement anyway because meat, vegetables, olive oil, and seeds in most peoples' diets provides plenty of LA. You can find out exactly what your inflammation index from the meats, oils and starchy foods alone by following the chart in the book Inflammation Nation. Guest guest
Canadian? That explains a joke someone told on an American programme about how American media is being taken over by Canadians. I didn't get it at the time, but I suppose it does make sense now. Keen Re: Re: Re: diet opinions " We are all not a bunch of Bush's and Pamela s! " I was thinking the same thing! LOL!
