That's right, Joe, it's a common mistake to do as has done

above, in propagating the myth that " yeast " and " dairy " feeds

candida; however the lactose is removed, by fermentation with

probiotics or whatever, it is no longer present for the candida to

eat.

The devil is in the details, as they say.

The casein in milk is problematic but has been removed from cold-

processed whey. In fact one fella I was chatting with is fermenting

the balance of the lactose out of his cold-processed whey; this

allows him to use a cheaper brand that has a gram of lactose in it.

Similarly, grouping " yeast " as a feed for candida is also inaccurate,

as several types of yeast are in the various anti-candida probiotics.

There is saccharomyces boulardii, a probiotic yeast, in Primal

Defense and in many other probtiotics. Brewer's and baker's yeast is

saccharomyces cerevisiae, an authorised probiotic.

Again, the devil is in the details, and these groupings into the

" bad " category even in the presence of candida are not science-based.

Here are some yeasts that are in kefir (from

http://www.curezone.com/blogs/m.asp?f=226 & i=9)

YEASTS

Candida kefir

C. pseudotropicalis

C. rancens

C. tenuis

Kluyveromyces lactis

Kluyveromyces marxianus var. marxianus

K. bulgaricus

K. fragilis / marxianus

Saccharomyces subsp. Torulopsis holmii

Saccharomyces lactis

Sacc. carlsbergensis

Sacc. unisporus

Debaryomyces hansenii**

Zygosaccharomyces rouxii**

Here are the ingredients of Threelac:

Ingredients: Bacillus Coagulans (200 million CFU), Bacillus Subtilis

(25 million CFU), Enterococcus Faecalis (25 million CFU), Lemon Juice

Powder, Refined Yeast Powder, Fiber

How can we say yeast is bad when it's part of the anti-candida

formulae?
