Guest guest
I had an interesting experience after I started drinking structured water. We have had a reverse osmosis filter in the house for several years, and I have been eating raw food rich diet, so I thought I would not be dehydrated. And indeed, many of my problems started to go away after I switched to the mostly raw diet - the water contained in fruits and vegetables help with hydration. I received a bag of Precious Prills as a gift three years ago. After I strted drinking the structured water these Prills make, I just about could not stop drinking for about three weeks. The body kept calling for more water than I thought possible. But after some time this finally normalized. Like many things in life, this needs to be experienced to be understood. Most of us just have no idea what being hydrated actually feels like. www.life-enthusiast.com Take a look > Greetings All > > I really like this book!!! > > Read what some people have to say: > > > > > > Your Body's Many Cries for Water > Author: Dr. F. Guest guest
I have one bright blue, one dark brown, pretty much the same colour as Raven's eyes, my daughter has one bright blue and one grey (the grey changes colour to blue when she's in a temper!!) Guest guest
Only myself and my daughter have HC at the moment, but we have the added bonus(?) of having been diagnosed as Waardenburg Syndrome, which is a totally different kettle of fish, HC being only a small part of it. Guest guest
Waardenburg Syndrome? What's that? (first time I ever heard it, though I've come across several other possible HC related medical deseases) Angel > Only myself and my daughter have HC at the moment, but we have the > added bonus(?) of having been diagnosed as Waardenburg Syndrome, which > is a totally different kettle of fish, HC being only a small part of > it. Guest guest
It's a genetic disorder which affects eye colour, hair colour, skin pigmentation and sometimes causes hearing problems too.
Guest guest
Hmm... unusual. Personally I have extraordinary sigh/hearing (and it's not just my ego - it actually is about twice as sensitive as anybody else's that I've come across), though I have a terrible sense of smell... and the only things I can smell pretty well are pollutants, like oil or smoke or some other potentially dangerous gasses. Guest guest
You're right, it is quite unusual, although it's better documented in the States than it is in Europe. It took me almost 10 YEARS to be diagnosed as the doctors over here were too frightened to put something so rare down on paper.

Guest guest
I am starting to think that the ixtures of blood can cause the HC , for the moment all of us have blood mixture and I am starting to guess it's european blood that transmit that. Isn't there an operation for your little Raven ? On 8/15/05, aswedestroy <vwpunkrods@...> wrote: -- " ladygreyuk " wrote:> It's a genetic disorder which affects eye colour, hair colour, skin > pigmentation and sometimes causes hearing problems too.Yes, my Raven has it too. She has only 10% hearing in her left ear and faint light spots on her skin. Oh by the way, she is a mix of Korean, German and Brit. We actually met a husband and wife at the beach that were deaf and had adopted a little girl. She had eyes EXACTLY like Ravens but she was completely deaf and was a caucasian / African American mix. Maybe there is something to the race subject?
Guest guest
Yes I do.... I have full WS...most of it doesn't cause any problems (thanks to L'Oreal for the hair dye and Superdrug for the sun protection factor 30) except, if course, the hearing loss, which is immensely irritating at times, exspecially when the phone rings. Guest guest
ok , and what about the others, do you have a good sense of smell too ? I am sure we must have a lot of things in common and not just the eyes On 8/16/05, ladygreyuk <ladygreyuk@...> wrote: I have an excellent sense of smell too - but am blind as a bat without my glasses
Guest guest
why don't you do as a friend did when she had troubles with her ear, she put the phone on a plate with coins so when the phone rand it made a lot of noise and she could hear it or maybe you can find in shops a kind of cable to connect your phone to your computer and you can put the sound high and maybe it will work On 8/16/05, ladygreyuk <ladygreyuk@...> wrote: Yes I do.... Guest guest
I have a great sense of smell too. Infact, so does my dad, who also has HC...hmmm interesting. My husband will get annoyed/amused that I can smell things that no one else can sometimes..maybe there is a connection. haha __________________________________________________

No, there is no corrective surgery for her type of impairment at this time. She does have a hearing aid, but at 3 years does not have much to do with it, heh heh. Her speech / phonics / enunciation is PERFECT without the aid, so we are not worried at all. She has regular appointments at s Hopkins for the HC and the hearing...the best doctors!! Guest guest
This is just uncanny. I, too, have a heightened sense of smell. I noticed at a young age I could name the cologne or perfume someone was wearing...oh and two different colored eyes..very light green and very dark brown. In heterochromia , Brujis <brujisbruja@g...> wrote: > ok , and what about the others, do you have a good sense of smell too ? > I am sure we must have a lot of things in common and not just the eyes > > On 8/16/05, ladygreyuk <ladygreyuk@y...> wrote: > > > > I have an excellent sense of smell too - but am blind as a bat without > > my glasses > > > > > > > > > >
