Hello

I would like to ask You a question about some diet that is very

popular in my country. What do You think about such a diet?

It's high fat diet (fat from meat , butter, olive etc. saturated fats)

+ veggies(mostly green) + low protein (they try to eat very few of

them)

I think it's very similar to atkins but they eat more carbos(veggies)

and less protein.

What's Your opinion about such a high fat diet?

Also what kind of diet would You suggest?

I believe in a high vegetable, high-protein diet with moderate, not

high, fat. The closest thing to a paleo diet, which was

opportunistic, varied, and practically grain-free.

Fat is a very good calorie source, so although moderate amounts of

saturated fat are good for you and stimulate metabolic rate, very

high amounts can only be burned off subject to the limits of your

metabolic rate and degree of activity.

In other words, sedentary people on a high-fat diet run the risk of

becoming obese on it, and, if combined with low-residue foods there's

a well-known risk of colon cancer too.

I cut out grains a long time ago, just recently reintroducing them,

and for some time only ate meats and vegetables with meat being the

largest part of my meals.

I'm not an active person, and lost 45 pounds the first 6 weeks.

I was also very constipated from the diet.

Meat but not enough fiber, or perhaps still bowel dysbiosis? Low

water maybe as well?
