Guest guest
Hi, I am so tired (lately) after I eat. I had some freshly made soft tacos with lettuce, tomatoe, onion...and I am so tired after I eat it (also w/ chicken). Is this from digestion alone or something in the soft flour tortilla itself ? I want to take a nap :-) Thanks. Maggie

When the liver is very overloaded, any sort of digestion puts an additional load on it, especially fatty foods. Sometimes after an avacado I feel like I want to pass out! But I notice that if I keep on a low fat diet, its a bit better. When I was eating a lot of fats, I could get tired after eating almost anything. Side note, skip the wheat! Bad in many ways, and I am sure is contributing... Hope this helps! _jason_ _________ ________ _______ _____ ____ ___ __ _ _ _
Guest guest
Thanks ! I thought I was nuts or " Baja Fresh " was drugging me in their tacos ;-) Wheat ? Could that be in the flour tortilla (do you mean wheat gluten ?) It was a white tortilla. I practically drank all the salsas because I am addicted to Mexican food !!! Maggie " ..: )::.. Seriously, I have learned to avoid as many restaraunts as possible, especially the big corporate ones. You just never know what you are getting! Funny, as I actually had the same experience last time I really binged on Mexican food. I got so tired I passed out on my friend's floor! > Wheat ? Gluten is a lot of times bad for Candida folks, and the carbs could contribute too. > I practically drank all the salsas because I am addicted to Mexican food !!! I know that feeling! I LOVE Mexican food too. I had to stop eating it though for the most part, as my body just doesn't tolerate corn :-/ (or wheat, dairy, etc). _jason_ _________ ________ _______ _____ ____ ___ __ _ _ _
Guest guest
Thanks again . I was doing good for a while and eating very fresh and healthy at home but those tacos were calling me and I was on a mission as I know you understand :-) Mc's had the same effect on me. All those chemicals !!! Now McD's is finally letting the public know honestly what is in their food, well at least their fries which are addictive too and full of gluten. Maggie " ..: )::.. Is there somewhere I can go to see the ingredient lists? All that stuff is SO FULL of MSG. Its amazing. And gluten/flour too, like you say. I had a HORRIBLE reaction to some Taco Bell tacos like 3 years ago, and have never been back. I called them and turns out they put flour in the beef. It was funny too, they couldn't tell me what was in there, but they could answer specific ingredient questions. Bastards. And wheat causes major problems for some people, you would think they would have to disclose that (Mcs puts it in their patties too). In short: fast food is EVIL! _jason_ _________ ________ _______ _____ ____ ___ __ _ _ _
Guest guest
Yes go to www.mcdonalds.com and click on food, nutrition & fitness. It was on the news that the fries contain milk too. Guest guest
Eating fast food is like eating poison. And, all the oils they use (soy bean, canola, corn) are probably genetically modified. I avoid genetically modified foods, I'm sorry, they don't know enough about what it really does to your body, the foods are way too new!
