hello again,

So i found out my niece has candida problems rated 9 out of 10 as done by the

vega testing at her nat path's office. My sister is just struggling to cope.

Alyssa is 6 and is very hyper and went on a round of antibiotics in the last 6

months which may have set this off... (or made it worse) .. anyways... they

avoid known allegens like milk etc... but no fruit for 3 weeks!!! That's hard to

do even for me!! And they she (mom) sends her to day camp at some places and

spends time explaining to the people that Alyssa cannot have cookies, crackers,

milk, candy etc etc... just veggies and rice crisps and nuts (no peanuts) that

comes with her. Despite that people seem to " forget " or not care and feed her

coke or fishy crackers or a cookie.

Meanwhile poor Alyssa wakes up in the middle of the night in pain with

headaches and stomach cramps and bloating.. (where I used to be :-( )

I figure at least my sister is doing the right thing and helping her now rather

than letting her get worse like some of us later in life.

Any words of wisdom or tips for my struggling sister??

I will forward them to her .... and encourage her to join this group...

Speaking of allergies to peanuts.

I was thinking about it a few months ago how when I was growing up, I'm only 38

LOL, no one ever had allergies & even if one kid did, it was to milk or

something, certainly NOT peanuts.

Since you are such an informed group : ) what are your thoughts on why only

one generation later & many generations after everyone else's, there are soooo

many kids that can't be around a peanut.

I have my own theories, but I'm wondering what others have to say.

Take care

Re: 6 year old with Candida

I cannot believe the camp could be so careless about the allery thing..

Some allergic kids would go into anaphalitc (spelling?) shock over one

single peanut! That involves and ambulance and the ER.

First of all this info should be added to the health record they keep on

each kid, I know I filled out tons of paperwork for my 6 year old to go

to day camp, including the immunization records from the doctor's office.

I would insisit on speaking to the camp director over this, and threaten

to switch camps if they can't handle it - getting a full refund in the

process. Hopefully just the threat would make them understand

how important this is. Oh - and a doctor' note wouldn't hurt too.

This is serious business,

A lot of the problems bought on by our poor diets get

carried on from us to our children. More children have

allergies because more children are born with candidas

infections and poor immune systems. Less mothers

breastfeed now and a lot of the proper immune system

building occure during breast feeding. Also, a woman

in poor health with a lot of toxins in her milk will

not help her growing infant. A lot of people have

anaphylactic response or allergy to peanuts because

they have a special mold called aflatoxin that grows

on them (do a google search on peanuts mold to learn

more) that is toxic to humans.. peanuts aren't even a

nut, they are a legume. I personally don't eat them

anymore after learning that.

Thanks to everyone who has given me their povs on this matter.

I'd have to say it's probably the breast milk as that's the only thing that

makes sense to me although, I was never breast fed & I have little to no

allergies.

I think I'm going to start taking a poll on how many kids who are allergic to

peanuts have not been breast fed.
