Guest guest
Yes, my normal body temperature is 97.6. Has been for at least the last 10 years. I remember reading somewhere that that is candida thing. I also like to be cold too. I can't stand the heat and even if my fingernails are blue, I am much happier than when I am sweating my ass off. Don't know if there is a connection between that and low body temp. I am starting to notice though, that I am a little more sensitive to the cold but I think its because I've lost most of my body fat so I don't have any insulation. -- " My dog isn't stubborn, he's just smarter than me! Guest guest
I have low body temp as well (avg. 96.9-97.1 Fahrenheit). I also have hypothyroidism. However, I honestly believe Candida overgrowth could be the culprit to my thyroid problem. When I was 10 y/o I had pneumonia and was on antibiotics for 3 months. I also ate a lot of sweets as a child. When I was 11 y/o, I was diagnosed w/hypothyroidism. I have often wondered if the antibiotics allowed the Candida to overgrow and attack my thyroid gland or maybe lead to an autoimmune disease which caused my own antibodies to attack my thyroid gland. My DR. tells me I will have hypothyroidism for the rest of my life, but I am determined to heal my thyroid gland. I believe I have killed most of the candida overgrowth in my body, now I must heal the organs that it attacked. Will keep you all posted! -Patty Over ten million animals are abused, neglected or abandoned yearly. Over 27,000 defenseless animals are being harmed or dying every day! Guest guest
I have always felt there was a connection. The worse my symptom were the colder I would feel. I now have my symptoms of Candidia under control and I feel great. So it can be done! Laurie Low Body Temp? Just curious- does anyone else have a problem with low body temp? I keep seeing this more and more and once believed it must be thyroid trouble in all of them...but now I feel there is a connection to candida and/or parasites. Anyone else? More garlic... Guest guest
I also have a low body temp... always have. I have read that Candidiasis can be associated with hypothyroidism... I believe I have had both since I was a teenager. The only time my body temp. were " normal " was when I was at my peak weights of 247- 257 pounds. Since I have lost 56 pounds... (more to lose) my body temps. have gone back down. I have also been on a weight plateau for 5 months... another indication of both the Candidiasis and hypothyroidism. I am taking coconut oil daily and it is slowing increasing my body temps., but I'll need more time to see how effective this will be long term. I had pneumonia when I was 3 and was in the hospital, ate TONS of sweet my whole life (what do you mean they make breakfast cereal that doesn't have marshmallows and isn't pink?), and had strep throat (and antibiotics) almost every year up until I was in college. I am planning on getting my thyroid level checked even though I don't have any of the major symptoms as I know them. My good friend had been really tired and spacey and gaining weight lately. She has always been a rail her whole life, like me. SHe thought it was just old age. I mentioned candida to her and she thought it might be a possibility, but she didn't eat that much sugar or bread, etc. She just had hers checked and it turns out its pretty much out of commission so she has to take thyroid supplements. I was having the same symptoms before I started treating the candida. I have lost all the extra weight plus a little more. I am actually underweight now and but it is at a constant weight. I don't have the sugar cravings and I'm definitely not as tired as I used to be. I've always been pretty active, even when I had full blown candida. I am still quite foggy headed though so I'd like to check it out, just to be sure. I know in dogs, subclinincal low-normal thyroid is associated with aggression. I had my dog aggresssive Catahoula tested and sure enough he was borderline low. So he is being treated and I'm starting to see subtle changes. Even though the major symptoms don't present themselves (so the doctors don't put all the subtle symptoms pieces together) these things can still affect our health. That's why I think its so important we try to gain as much knowledge as we can to help ourselves. As I'm sure most of you have experienced, most doctors don't know their ass from their elbow if the condition doesn't present itself exactly like the text book they studied in college 15 years ago. -- " My dog isn't stubborn, he's just smarter than me! Guest guest
Well, I was diagnosed when I was 11 years old. I was a competitive gymnast at the time, but I became very tired all the time. I had always been very small for my age, but my parents attributed that to my somewhat intesnse gymnastics training. I also developed migraines. -Patty >From: Marni Fowler <nicasdreamjester@...> >Reply-candidiasis >candidiasis >Subject: Re: Low Body Temp? >Date: Tue, 11 Nov 2003 11:04:57 -0500 > > > > > > >I have low body temp as well (avg. 96.9-97.1 Fahrenheit). Guest guest
- I have not checked out those pages. Is there a link to these pages you could provide? I noticed a link below your name, so I will investigate. Thanks for the advice. -Patty >From: " Pytela " <martinp@...> >Reply-candidiasis ><candidiasis > >Subject: Re: Low Body Temp? >Date: Tue, 11 Nov 2003 17:33:15 -0700 > > Re: Low Body Temp? > > > > I have low body temp as well (avg. 96.9-97.1 Fahrenheit). Guest guest
Hi Gigi, LOL! I'm from Jersey and have lived in FL almost 24 years (live up north for 14). I hate the heat, can't stand the humidity, pretty much hibernate all summer. I'm always hot and doesn't take much to make me sweat. I always have the windows open even when its really cold out and am the one in the jeans and the tank top when its chilly out. I hate to be hot. I'd rather be shivering - at least I can warm myself up a bit that way. >Are you doing Atkins as well? > Modified - no dairy (except for minimal yogurt), no cheese at first. Now I will use a little parmesan or gouda, but still no milk. Lots of proteins (minimal beans, no tofu), eggs, veggies, an occasional Granny smith or strawberries, rice every once in awhile - usually in sushi. Way too many almonds and carob. No wheat what-so-ever (and probably for the rest of my life). I've been using millet bread when I decide to have bread. Its been working pretty well for me. My candida wasn't as bad as I first thought after hearing about others so I guess I feel pretty lucky, considering how badly I lived my life up until then. -- " My dog isn't stubborn, he's just smarter than me!
