Guest guest
I know what you mean. I have my period, no symptoms, but then I am using a tampon. Period ends, 2 days later yeasties. I use the acidophillus suppositories and it calms down quite a bit. You may want to try them just to calm everything down. Have to use them for a least a week. Then period comes and the process starts over. I read somewhere on the internet that vaginal yeast infections are cyclic(now I can't find it, maybe I dreamed it). They run their course over a long period time. Then they are gone. Now if only that is true!!! I do know I had really bad yeast infectons about 14 years ago, they finally went away and I don't know why. Now they are back waging war. > I wish my vaginal symptoms were only once a month; unfortunately mine are every day. I will definitely try changing my detergent and boiling or ironing as suggested. > >
Guest guest
I know getting my period is actually a relief because I don't have itchiness and pain. I too use the acidophillus suppositories. My naturopath has suggested that I alternate 7 days acidophillus suppositories and then 7 days boric acid. When I first started it seemed like they were really helping but now it has been about three weeks and things are bad again. I am sore all day long and I am sooo frustrated! crazyhousemouse <crazyhousemouse@...> wrote: I know what you mean. I have my period, no symptoms, but then I am using a tampon. Guest guest
Just a thought that along with all the other stuff you guys are trying I also use ice packs. I use the gel packs you can freeze and then " sit " on it for 20min every couple of hours or so when I'm at home. Has helped to calm the area and since yeast like warm environment so I figured I'd try to keep the area cool. Do not put an ice pack directly on your skin or you risk frost bite. Wrap it in a dish towel and don't leave it there for more that 20 minutes and see if this helps. After a shower I use the hairdryer on a cool setting to make sure I'm very dry. Hope some of this helps you. I'm not yeast free here but I don't have it all month anymore. Guest guest
Have you tried not using tampons at all? I think it can be a contributing factor as well (it happened to me once). Try two months with no tampons to see if it will be any better. Alena Re: Chronic Candida Vaginal Symptoms - Need help I know what you mean. Guest guest
It is thought that candida can live on your underwear, and reinfect you even after washing, so better safe then sorry. A quick 10 seconds in the microwave before wearing can help. Laundry detergent can kill good bacteria and interupt the natural balance in your private area. Here are a few other things to try/consider: - Soak a tampon in tea tree oil and insert it normally (not during period) - Could you have a serious medical condition, such as immune system disorder, AIDS, Cancer or something else that hasn't been caught yet? - Have you done colon cleanses and cleaned out your entire body? Wiping from front to back is very important! Could your colon be reinfecting you? - Did you try the acidophulus, garlic, etc. all at the same time? - Do you smoke or have other environmental factors that could be causing your immune system to work overtime and be too busy to work on the candida? HTH.. Luv, Debby San , CA --- Blumensaat <albernfrau@...> wrote: > > Hi Debby, > > Everything else has been ruled out so I am pretty > sure it is candida. Guest guest
Greeting All Did you mean to say that on a tampon, put some just out of the bottle tea tree oil? I would think that would be a bit harsh for inside. ??? --- Debby Padilla-Hudson <debbypadilla@...> wrote: > It is thought that candida can live on your > underwear, > and reinfect you even after washing, so better safe > then sorry. Guest guest
Hi Everyone I found some pantie liners also caused a flare up. You need to look for ones that are breathable and that have a cotton lining. I've always used the brand Tampax internally, with no problems. You could try pulling back the tampon a little, within the cartridge and fill the end with Aloe Vera (natural anti-fungal) before inserting, very soothing. Guest guest
I find it frustrating about the pantiliners because I like to wear them the next morning after putting in either a boric acid or acidophillus suppository. Does anyone know what brand is appropriate, ie. breathable etc.? McKelvey <kmmckelvey@...> wrote: Hi Everyone I found some pantie liners also caused a flare up. Guest guest
Thanks for your suggestions/comments. - Could you have a serious medical condition, such as immune system disorder, AIDS, Cancer or something else that hasn't been caught yet? I have been checked for AIDS, Diabetes, immune function, hypoglycemia, irritable bowel, etc. I am now really considering whether it might be parasites. - Have you done colon cleanses and cleaned out your entire body? I haven't done this and I think this is going to be my next step. I need to especially cleanse my kidneys because I had a severe kidney infection two years ago after months of bladder infections. I have seen been extremely susceptible to bladder infections. As for your other suggestions I have addressed all of them. So I think I am going to work on doing some cleansing. Do a search on the net for tea tree oil and tampon and you'll find a ton of sites that suggest the same thing. I meant what I said, and have done it myself. I tend to have rhino skin though, and I'm not sensitive to anything, so for me it was just fine. You can dilute the tea tree oil or use less if it bothers you. luv, Debby San , CA Website for my son Hunter Hudson, born 10/11/04: http://debbypadilla.0catch.com/hunter/ Got Low Carb Inspiration? The basic GladRags one, without any extra liners, is perfect for a liner. Guest guest
Do you regualarly put the aloe vera on the tampon when you have your period? That sounds like a very simple aid in combatting the yeasties. I am definitely going to try this since I don't think I want to give up tampons, I find the whole monthly thing a bit too messy to go back to " mouse mattresses " . Guest guest
You can apply Aloe Vera as many times as you want. Whether you have your period or not, it will help combat vaginal thrush.
