Xylitol causing fatigue? (die off? Liver?)

Just was wondering if anyone else experiences fatigue after eating Xylitol.

It comes on shortly after eating it (15 min maybe), and is very noticeable

for me. I am wondering if it is causing die off (supposedly Xylitol kills

Candida), or maybe aggravating the liver, as the fatigue feels the same as

when I eat fatty foods and congest the liver.

This is all a real bummer, because just when I think I have found something

that is sweet and actually tastes good, I still cant have it :-(

Anyone else experience this? Or anyone have any ideas why I would be?

Thank you!

Hi ,

How much are you using and what is the source of the Xylitol you have?

When I first used it, I had a bag of Xylitol that was derived from

corn, which is very allergenic. Then, I found out that there was an

organic variety of Xylitol made from birch trees

(SmartSweet/www.globalsweet.com). After using the birch-derived

stuff, I had no problems whatsoever.

These days I use maybe four teaspoons or the equivalent a day. It has

made a difference all around... maybe what you are experiencing is a

die-off reaction but there are other factors for sure.

Alison :-)

deos anyone know if Kidney Beans have iodine in them?

I ate lots of them last night and it caused an itching reaction in me.

I read that Kidney beans are part of the Candida diet so I thought

was safe.

I found out why I am mostly itching. I went to see the doctor last Wed.

I mean a " real " doctor. Not from Kaiser of course!

I have double coverage praise God.

I used my Blue cross.

She was so wonderful and spent 30 min. with me.

Oh by the way she did a yeast culture on my vagina and it came out

negative.

She asked me what the nurse used on me 1/6 when I had my EMB.

She requested my medical records be sent to her from Kaiser.

I found out that the nurse put iodine in my (what benzodine) (I think it

is spelled right)...

She swabbed the inside of me cervix with iodine after she performed the

cervical

biospy. OKay.....

The NEXT DAY I started my 5 months of itching and scratching til' the

cows came home.

I went on my way to Kaiser being pushed around with 5 doctors.

From internal medicine to derm.

Nothing " Oh Mrs. Kit...I am sorry I don't know what is wrong with you "

Creeps.

We don't know what is wrong with you...but that these pills.

They are really good at that.

Does anyone know how to flush iodine out of ones body?

No, kidney beans don't have iodine. My husband is super-sensitive to

iodine and he used to be able to eat lots of kidney beans (can't now due

to IBS).

Try drinking lots of water. But it should not be in your system after 5

months. Are you taking a vitamin with iodine or is your salt iodised?

Try using sea salt only, it has no iodine in it.
