Guest guest
I have heard of Dr. Hertzberg before. Many bodybuilders see him or the other doc at the clinic ( I can't think of his name offhand). I had thrush and white tongue for many years. Since long-term diflucan, I do not have it and my lupus went into remission, etc. We know that anti-fungals work and I have gone the de-tox, supplement route before. I continue to eat all organic food, use organic and natural products, following an anti-histamine and anti-yeast diet. My immunologist agrees with all of this action. With the tonsils, it is apparent that some damage has been done to the throat/tonsil area. I also, am afraid of having cancer. My decision to have the surgery has weighed heaviliy on my mind. I have decided to go forward not just for myself, but hopefully for others. There are many Beaumont docs and even VA docs that have had me do grand rounds, etc. There have been many theories bouncing around about what has caused my medical problems. I must try to have this confirmed---candida? Herpes Simplex Virus? (which can cause all of this too and can be confined to the throat/esophogus or even a Papiloma Virus which is also known to do this). CREST syndrome can cause some of this too. I hope that between my extensive history, traditional medical testing and alternative medical testing that an actual link can be made. If so, I have urged to docs to write a paper on it. I have also contacted Pzifer which makes diflucan, regarding the anti-fungal putting my lupus in remission after seven years. This could be valuable information and maybe (I might be too hopeful) that it can help others. Note--I also tested for low IGM too. I work from home now as a writer and have launched a company selling product (home cleaning / body care, etc.) that is environmentally-safe and people safe too. Great for candida, fibro, cancer, cystic fibrosis patients etc. since many of us are ultra sensitive to chemicals, too. If I find scientific confirmation on my condition, believe me, I will do a media blitz, etc. I have known too many who suffer quietly. As far as stress, unhappiness, etc. causing all of these things---it doesn't really apply here. I am doing what I want in life, have a wonderful partner, etc. Stress can contribute but I do not believe it is a cause. I will definately look up Dr. Hertzberg after my surgery. I know that this will be a long road to travel and help I can get will be appreciated. Take care, Steph in MI
Guest guest
DJ Tech, I'm from michigan too and was wondering if you were from the Metro Detroit area like me. Oh, never mind, I just checked out Dr. Hertzborg's web site and he is in Southfield so you must be close. I'll have to check him out. Any other good resources in the area? I'd be wiling to compare notes. Kirktalon --- DJ Tech <candida@...> wrote: > Hi Steph, > > I feel very lucky that I found a doctor as quickly > as I did. Guest guest
Wow that is amazing, we have a lot in common. I'm glad you put a lot of thought into this, surgery is permanent. My Mother had her gallbladder taken out years ago and it now seems that it was unnecessary. How many years did you have thrush? I'm going on 6 years . I am probably in the same situation as you (damaged tonsils). By diagnosis do you mean by a lab? It sounds pointless to try to diagnose candida since it is normally found in healthy people. Most people who have candidiasis test negative on cultures (according to what I've read on-line). It does sound logical for you to determine why you are still getting tonsil stones if you don't have thrush. HPV is a scary thought, you got me thinking. Lupus is muscle pain without a known cause right? If anti fungal meds help and avoiding yeast feeding foods help what else do you need to prove your condition? Fungus causes muscle problems. Did you have asthma when you were a child? I think I had an over abundant yeast population all of my life and when I came in contact to a more virulent strain in college it converted the population to fungus. I think all the anti biotics and allergy shots and medication I've taken have taught my immune system to stay away from candida. Now I must reduce my yeast population by making my body inhospitable for candida. I wish you the best of results from your surgery.
