Guest guest
My previous post included the quoted line, " Large supplements of biotin without inositol can lead to liver damage " from: http://www.healthyawareness.com/candida/hypoglycemia.htm But a quick web search I did hadn't turned up any supporting info for that. On the other hand, The Word's Healthiest Foods website says: " Reports of biotin toxicity have not surfaced in the research literature, despite the use of biotin over extended periods of time in doses as high as 60 milligrams per day. For this reason, in its 1998 recommendations for intake of B-complex vitamins, the Institute of Medicine at the National Academy of Sciences chose not to set a tolerable upper limit (UL) for intake of biotin. " http://whfoods.org/genpage.php?tname=nutrient & dbid=42#toxicitysymptoms Still, I happen to usually take lecithin so lack of inositol is not a worry. -- Regards, A.B.
