Guest guest
The closest thing I've been able to find to a scientific test is one ran by Great Plains Labs. Dr. Shaw has developed a patent on a test that he claims by measuring yeast metabolite values, such as aribinose, they are yeast indicators. I've done a lot of research here and although I have to say it doesn't seem to be 100%, (of course if it was or was a known fact then it would be accepted " science " ), but it deficiently seems to me to catch much of it. His lab and work is well respected and he has helped many children in the autistic community. Yeast and leaky guts go hand in hand with these mercury poisoned by thimerosal (preservative in the vaccines they were given) autistic kids and explain why we are in an epidemic state with autism and ADHD. Some of the others out there in the alternative community are arguing that aribinose is not necessarily created by yeast, however I've heard more often from experts in the biomedical industry that his test is by far the closest thing out there. For me and my family, I'd say it's dead on. The lab has an excellent reputation, and you may even get an insurance company to pay for some of it they can help you there. The test is called an Organic Acids Test (OATS). You can run the test, ran from urine, by just testing the yeast markers but they recommend you get the full panel. The full panel might give you insight into other areas too, check it out. The yeast only price is $135 and full panel is $270 (I think.) You can just call them and request a kit be sent to you. You do have to have a doctor sign the form, but the nice part is they send you the tests too and are available for consultations afterwards to discuss your results and also give you a summary. Just don't expect a doctor to be able to make out anything from this. It's measuring values and things they know nothing about. I just use a doctor that is open to other labs for info and he just signs the request for me. Here's their site for more info. Or if anyone wants to see one email me off line and I'll fax it over. Nothing to hide, my kids have yeast! Thanks, Kari http://www.greatplainslaboratory.com/ test for candida does anyone know a reliable test for candida were i can go to my md and get?? Guest guest
I saw a test called 'candida test' at Direct Lab Testing. It is lab that does tests for people and doesn't require doctor to direct, although therefore not covered by insurance. Many of their test are performed at other labs that do require a doctor's note, like do offer the Great Smokies comprehensive stool test. Here is link. They are charging $129.00. If you can't get a doctor to get a test for you this is a possibility. http://www.directlabs.com/testtypes.php#cand > The closest thing I've been able to find to a scientific test is one ran by Great Plains Labs.
