purple fingernails

Hi,

I'm new here. My doctor suspects I may have a candida problem though

we are just at the beginning of investigating it. In the last few

weeks I've developed a very odd symptom that I was wondering if it

could be candida realted.

At the base of my fingernails extend partially up the nail the color

underneath is purple-ish and returns to normal moving toward the tip

of the nail bed. The nail and skin itself seem to be healthy, and

the purple color darkens or lightens for reasons that I do not

understand.

Has anyone ever heard of something like this? My doctor suspects

Raynaud's Syndrome but tests are still pending.
