Have any of the women on this list every been

prescribed a pill for a vaginal yeast

infection? I

was talking to a doctor and she said that these

pills

could also help in the eradication of candida

overgrowth in the intestine. What do people

think?

Cheers,

With Diflucan, Nystatin, etc, the yeast builds a resistant to these antifungals. You'd be better off if you tried some natural antifungals, like Oil Of Oregano, Garlic, Pau D'Arco, etc.

Some people rotate the synthetic antifungals and have success with that, but again, only for a time.

I'm in my 40s and was on Diflucan all through my 30s. I couldn't figure out why the yeast infections started to return, and kept returning. Now that I use natural antifungals, I don't get yeast infections anymore.

I only have to take 1 and I don’t use it every time,

just when one sneaks up on me and is horrible before I notice it. Which these days, is kind of rare…

Diflucan is hard on the liver. It will also stop being

effective after awhile.

Many people, including myself, were given diflucan, and promised that

just one pill would wipe out all fungus. It certainly didn’t help me. I

believe nystatin is also commonly prescribed, to little or no effect

Yes. I was told to take Diflucan for two months. It cleared it up at

first, but within a short time I developed the WORST vaginal yeast infection

I had EVER had. I was in so much pain. Remember, the yeast are quite

resilient and are able to mutate against any pathogen trying to kill them.

So, I ended up with a very virulent strain. It was because of that course

of Diflucan that I ended up here at this forum. I was sick and tired of

Doctors trying to treat my symptoms. I new I needed to find the source of

the problem. I have and continue to research every lead/link that is posted

here. Thank you all so much!
