When using inulin bifidobacteria will become the dominant bacteria

becasue the feed for it is there. As the study indicates, a few

other strains are likely to outnumber the bifidobateria in adults

unless you feed it.

The blood and extracellular fluid must be alkaline; the bowel must

be acidic for health. Bowel acidity has nothing to do with saliva.

Low saliva pH is a pre-cancerous condition, and you should take

steps to raise it. Calcium/magnesium, vitamin D, zinc, potassium

are the alkalizing minerals. You can also eat a whole lemon every

day; it produces alkaline ash so even though it seems acid it works

as an alkali.

The alkali foods are generally grown above ground; get a chart from

the internet and modify your diet a little. Whey powder is mildly

alkalizing, but most protein is acidifying.

Hi ;

A two pound bag of inulin is 908 grams. Taken at 15 grams which I

figure is two heaping teaspoonsful daily, it will last about 2

months. People with IBS-constipation would likely double the dose,

so the bag would last one month.

cheers!

Duncan,

If I have systemic candida, is it likely that I also have leaky gut

syndrom? What are the symptoms of this condition, and does it improve

with treatment of the candida?

Not unlikely; hard to say...

Leaky gut can be caused by the bowel dysbiois that led to the

opportunistic candida. It arrives with prolonged irritation (from

any source), which suppresses the bowel lining cell division, so

undigested food particles etc... can get into the blood.

This results in allergic symptoms, excess toxicity, increased

white cell count, symptoms of arthritis increasing, and an

overloaded immune system, which leads to infection, autoimmunes and

such.

The condition improves with the removal of the irritating factors,

and restoration of good bowel flora, and what we're aiming at is

bowel lining healing. Amino acids that increase growth hormone will

speed healing, and people with adequate growth hormone can benefit

with the amino acid l-glutamine the bowel lining thrives on.
