Guest guest
I am originaly from Germany and in the particular area where I grew up we used to eat " sour beans " . I wonderd if any of you have heard of it or have made it. I checked the internet for a receipe and it states that you take 5lbs of green beans and 100 grams of salt. They have to ferment in a stone pot for 6 weeks. Anyone know this? My grandma used to make them but I didn't know they have to sit for 6 weeks. I would think the beans would spoil. I would rather buy them somewhere. The German word for this dish is Saure Bohnen. Jeanette
