Guest guest
Well, learn something new everyday. I thought you only used it to season cutting boards. However, I am SURE about the wood being toxic to horses. So I think I'll stick with olive for my salads :-) Thanks for setting me straight Heidi Re: walnut oil > Hi Heidi, walnut oil IS edible, it makes beautiful salad dressings. > > Kate > > > > > Does anyone have any suggestions or stories > > about walnut oil??? > > > > I don't know about skin reactions, but Walnut > > shavings used as bedding can kill a horse. > > So I think there has to be some toxin in it. Guest guest
I know I have cooked with walnut oil. I am certain there are recipes that specifically call for it. Never heard of a problem with it before! Cate
Guest guest
If you are going to be using walnut oil in your items, make sure that it is listed since there are people out there that may be allergic to it ( I am one of those people) Aradia > there are no problems with eating walnut oil, any more than > there are problems with eating walnuts. >
Guest guest
Hi Kim, I've used the walnut oil from the HFS with no problems. However if you are using alot of walnut oil you may want to order it in bulk. 2 west coast suppliers are: www.naturaloils.com http://www.libertynatural.com/ <(((><
Guest guest
Jeanne, I think Walnut Oil, Hemp Oil, Sesame Oil, Almond Oil. Red Palm Oil, etc.. are safe, and wonderful flavorings for salad dressings. Just don't subject them to heat. --- jeanne_simons@... wrote: > any opinion on walnut oil? Guest guest
Hi...is cold-pressed organic walnut oil okay? Little confused about oils...Thanks. Also, what if one is a vegetarian for ethical reasons? I do eat chicken/fish, quite reluctantly, for the ethical concerns. I try and choose critters who have had a realtively happy life, but still, I don't like it... Just what if? How does someone do this diet if they refuse to eat animals? Bee, I did read your articles on vegetarianism...suspect wouldn't be enough to totally convince everyone, however. Thanks much,
