Guest guest
I live in NY and work in Midtown Manhattan near the United Nations. Today, a huge cloud hangs over lower Manhattan like the black cloud that hangs over the hearts of all of us during this time of national sorrow. I just wanted to thank everyone who has donated blood and other resources to New York. As a life-long New Yorker I am touched by the outpouring of support from all over the country. I haven't read any posts in the past couple of days so I don't know if you are aware of this but there was a story on the news last night about a woman in Philadelphia who was waiting for a liver from another part of the country. Because no planes were able to fly she did not recieve the liver.(the liver went to someone else, who by the news reporter accounts was not as ill as the Philly woman). This just goes to show how this tradegy reaches the entire country on so many different levels. Hang tough, wave your flags and show these bast*rds we will not go quietly into the night.
