Guest guest
Hi everyone, Getting ready to have anterior and posterior back surgery 2/11. Have collapsed discs, pinched nerves, etc. which are causing a lot of pain and have impacted my mobility and quality of life. On top of this lost my job last month. Had Harrington rod surgery in 1978 for 86 degree curve, spine was curving around heart and lungs, told I would die or be crippled in 5-10 years if I didn't have surgery then. Diagnosed myself with flatback November 2007 (thanks to this group and other info I found online) which was confirmed the following month by orthopedic surgeon. Tried radio frequency nerve ablation, Tramadol, Hydrocodone, Gabapentin, etc. with minimal temporary relief. Scared about having another back surgery, but need to get this done. Started having major pain and spasms in my left hip and left side a few weeks ago so problem's only getting worse. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Appreciate any advice from those of you who have been through this already. Thank you. Jodi
