Guest guest
No I haven't been diagnosed with MS or anything else for that matter, although my rheumatologist felt I was maybe getting some kind of fibromyalgia....he never foramlly said thats what it was as my symptoms were just a bunch of different things...the main thing I have is a foggy, spacey, distant feeling in my head, this has improved from the first day but not gone away, at times it is very bad, at times mildly annoying, my other symptoms are achy feet and hands....thats about it....nothing else, fatigue sometimes, but not major fatigue. I just want to be well, I do not beleive it is a conspiracy , my opinion is that most women don't seem to have these major problems and that is why we are treated like we are nuts...I just think they need to find a way of figuring out who is at risk for these complications before they implant women. That is what I feel, and also they need to discuss the risks a lot more, and really drive home the unknown risks of things like what we all seem to have experienced. Yes I am glad they are gone most of the time, cept when I look in the mirror, I am honest here, I miss them and it sucks. Debe if your lopsided why not just get the larger breast made smaller ????? Oh well, whatever it is your body, maybe you would have gotten MS anyway.....it is all so hard to say..I wonder if I would have gotten sick anyway too, but even if that is the case I think getting the implants out is still the right thing to do because how can you get well with these foreign objects inside you. I hope things improve for you and me and everyone else this year...thanks
Guest guest
My Dr doesn't believe I got sick from my implants, he does beleive that they can leak and cause problems but he also told me not to take them out. However when I told him I took them out he didn't say I was crazy or anything, but no he is not a silicone disease believer, however, he believes in treating pain with whatever meds work. When I told him I found the vicodin to be working he gave me the script and when I asked for something stronger he gave me lortab, we also tried oxycontin but that stuff made me feel awful. Anyhow he is affiliated with Stanford, where I am working(til I move next month) and his name is Melvin Britton at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Palo Alto. Pretty far for you to drive, but maybe you could call his office and ask them if he knows a good rheumy in your area. He is a really good rheum and he is the first Dr that didn't tell me to take anti depressants. Sorry I can't be of more help. If you want his number e-mail me and I will give it to you.
