Guest guest
Hi Tina, This is all so new to me and so confusing when I have: Primary Care Doctor say I am healthy; Gynecologist say I am hypothyroid and peri-menopausal; 2nd Gynecologyst say I am not peri-menopausal but hypothyroid; Endo say I am hypothyroid. Bottom line is my levels are and I feel horrible ( But the reason why doctors are reluctant in increasing the dosage on patients is because they will feel great for sometime before they feel bad again. Not to mention that you can potentially shut down your Thyroid natural production but taking higher dosage than you really need. & Tina <bamachoppers@...> escreveu: Hi, Well you sound almost exactly like me! You must be having loads of fun too! Just talking about it makes me feel better. I've been told that it takes 6-8 weeks for meds to work, so you are almost right there. Your dose sounds very small. Some people just have to bug their doctors before they will up the dose. Like me and so many others you will probably get higher doses every 2 mos or so depending on your lab results. Just reading about hypothyroidism online I've learned that the docs should really rely on the way you feel instead of test results. I've learned also to drink plenty of water with my meds. I truly hope you feel better soon, but you may want to bug your doctor until he says ok I'll put you on 50 or 75mcg. Thanks, Tina --- ceciliabsantos <ceciliabsantos@...> wrote: > Hi there, > > I am a 40-y-o married female with a 7-y-o son.
