Guest guest
You don't need a " water pill " for hypo if you are properly treated OMG. Educate yourself and find a competent doctor. You need adrenal hormnes for your " autoimmune diseases " . Gracia > > > Hi, all, I am new here, and I have autoimmune hypothyroidism. Guest guest
Hi Jasmine, I also have auto-immune Hashimoto's thyroiditis and I've since developed rheumatoid arthritis. When it started, I had to take the steroid, prednisone for 6 weeks, but its been in remission for a few years already, although I do sometimes feel pain in the soles of my feet. I wear orthotics and that helps a lot - I cannot move without them. I find the best thing for both conditions is exercise - it keeps the blood flowing through the joints and helps my metabolism -- so my remedy is to work out every day - or go for an hour's walk! I took Shomon's advice (she's written a few books on hypothyroidism), which is to take 2 Maca capsules a day - it gives me energy and is good for the adrenals. Maca is Peruvian Ginseng -- really great stuff!!! Try it. Good luck, Marcia
