Guest guest
Hi Walmart sells , for 14.00, an inflatable LARGE exercise ball that you can put in your living room, and when you are watching tv you can do a very easy bounce back and forth, it will get your abs going. I want to stress that I am fairly lazy, and I found this easier than laying on the slant board. My husband and children use the ball all the time, we have gone through about 5 of them. They eventually break from over use. They are huge, and well I never bothered because it looked like a distraction. When I watch tv i just want to relax. But my gynecologist told me that I should do some type of exercise to help with my severe constipation ( I have a dependency on herbal laxatives , long story) and for years and years everyone has told me " you have to exercise or walk when you get older ( im 39) in order to get your bowels going. Well I work full time, take grad classes periodically, and have two children and I'm married. The one hour at night that I get to veg out in front of the TV, I dont want to have to move. But I found that if I sit on the ball and bounce slightly with my head and shoulders leaned back slightly, it forces a casual use of the ab muscles. I dont know if it helped with the constipation because it's too early. I hope this helps someone. Guest guest
I used one of those when I injured my back at work a couple summers ago. I was in rough shape, but I have to say they are really good for re-gaining flexibility in a manner YOU control. The ball would also probably be good to lean back on while having a retention enema: to lay on your back and bend right back, moving the liquid about... Just a thought...
