Hello all!!

Well I got some bad news today! I got my blood done and my liver enzymes were sky high!!!

I am almost 4 years post transplant and i was taken off prednisone is Sept 1999 and then in Nov 2000 I was switched from the immunosuppressant drug Neoral to its Generic form Gengraf. Also since I had been stable so long they decided to have me quit taking Cellcept. I was very hesitant to do it, beings my liver disease is Autoiommune Hepatitis. But they said well we will monitor you closely and if anything changes we will know.

Well now they know. I was not due to get my blood done til next week, but I have been so fatigued, falling asleep whenever and nauseated, and right upper quadrant pain, and diahrrea. SO I am off to Mayo next Monday to see them and they will do a biopsy and see what is going on. It is either rejection or the AIH rearing its ugly head!!!!

I am set to be taken off of my disability too the end of the month, because SSA said my liver enzyes were stable, so I could go back to work. Maybe I will have to reapply!!!!!

Well keep me in your prayers. I hope it is not too serious. I just do not relish having to go through high doses of Prednisone if it is rejection. But I will do what I have to do to stay alive. I have come too far to quit now!!

Thanks for listening!!!
