Guest guest
Hello: I am a parent of a 12 year old child who has been diagnosed AIH this past week. My daughter was a very healthy child up until this past year when she was vaccinated with the mandatory Hepatitus B vaccine. This is required before entering 7th grade now. Her last vaccine was in May 1999 and her first symptoms were slightly swollen knuckles. Then by September she had a good size nodule on one of her knuckles. So I took her to the doctor. Then they started testing for autoimmune diseases, then I became very afraid for her. Her ANA is 1200. Liver enzymes up to 140. Anti-smooth 1:160 and hemo.complement-CH50 is 459. The testing process and the emotional roller coaster so far has been two months. Since September I have been taking her to a herbologist. Her liver enzymes have gone down since taking chinese herbs to 116-129 just in 3 weeks. Now the Dr. wants to do a liver bx. I am very scared and frightened for her. I think I am going to get a second opinion to be sure the diagnosis is correct. I am terrified of Prednisone for her. She is so young. Has anyone out there heard of a child getting AIH from a vaccine reaction ? I beleive with all my heart that that is what happen to my daughter. But the Drs. won;t really admit it. They just say I can file a claim with the vaccine reaction fund. I did a tremendous amount of research to come to this conclusion. Also I would like to have input about whether most people that have AIH end up having to have a liver transplant eventually. My child has a very long road ahead of her. I have cried for her many times. But am keeping a postive outlook for her well being. She had stiffness in the hands before. But since taking herbs all pain has gone away. The nodule disappeared in one month after taking herbs. She eats well. I have taken her off processed foods, chocolate and sugar. She does not seem to have pain after eating anymore. She sleeps 8 hours. And lives a very active life. But obviously there is things going on internally that we can't see. My husband and I are very angry too. That our child now has a chronic disease after being innoculated. I have heard from the National Vaccine Reaction that people who have allergies, asthma, or a family history of autoimmune disorders should not be vaccinated. My daughter has allergies and my mother has rheumatoid arthritus. So why isn't the medical profession screening our children before injecting them? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
