Guest guest
Hi there.. Yes it is very difficult when the kids feel really good and want to do what the others are doing...We as moms very easily get into that " plastic bubble " thing....want to protect them....believe me I have been doing it since my 22 was 3(and diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis) and now with Ty since he was 9.....But you know what it is sooo unhealthy for them and can very easily turn them off to us and then the relationship can fall apart....They need to know that they can come to us with the problems with out us FREAKING OUT.....Well we will....inside...but don't let them see that....or they will not come to you....I keep saying " they " because I am so used to dealing with both my boys....and with Trav so far away and 22 I want to make sure he comes to me if he is having a problem..... It is like when they are babies and learning to walk...if we catch them EVERY TIME they start to fall they will never learn to keep their balance and stop them selves from hitting the floor....Same thing here.....but tougher....we have to let them live....even though they do stupid things in our eyes.....I know you know these things...just reminding you and MYSELF...LOL.... Have a nice Sunday.....and don't study him.....he WILL notice that....get good at seeing alot at a glance....Moms have such tough jobs....all caregivers for that matter....Infact I have to do this with my mom now too..... We are going for a Sunday ride also...out to breakfast...one of our favorite meals to eat out....maybe up to High Point with is about a 2-3 hour ride there...Ty is coming with us...just a day out and away from everything.....We so need it.... Have a nice day ...talk to you during the week.... Luanne Ty's mom
