Guest guest
Hi All! I was catching up on all the posts from the weekend as I haven't been on for a few days & I was reading about the whole shower issue & washing hair. As I had my surgery with Dr. Bridwell, I wasn't allowed to shower until after I got home either. But the hair thing was different. After I got out of the hospital, I would lay across the bed with my head at the very end. My husband laid a few towels under my neck & head & then he washed it by using that square washpan they gave you in the hosdpital. He would wet it by either wetting a washcloth & squeezing it on my head or by pouring water directly over my head & into the basin. He then shampooed it once & rinsed it out the same way. It wasn't painful to me at all & it sure beat having dirty hair. I don't know about anyone else, but I just felt better knowing that I looked better. Of course everyone is different & we all have differnet levels of pain tolerance, so if you can lay across the bed comfortably, it might be something you might want to try. Best wishes to all Nan
