Guest guest
I have been taking cortef for several years now and I love it, I don't have water retention or weight gain but I did have very high bp when I started it! The GP should read Safe Uses of Cortisol by Jefferies. Gracia Dr Hertoghe is the doc who put me on Armour in June 2004...he also prescribed Medrol (cortisol) for my adrenals...but then my GP took me off it a few months ago, claiming that you should only use it for a limited period of time and never more than 6 months in a row...he claimed that, among other things, Medrol causes your blood pressure to raise, causes water retention, weight gain, kidney failureetc...but Dr Hertoghe only prescribed 2 mg of Medrol a day, which is not that much...it is so difficult when different doctors say different things! However, once I quit taking Medrol, I noticed that I started craving salty foods again...something that went away when I started taking Medrol! -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
