Regarding metal taste: I have read that metal taste can

also come from metal toxicity (such as from mercury poisoning).

I don't have this. But it is listed as one of the possible

effects of mercury poisoning, and I think I've heard people

on a mercury list talk about that.

I too have noticed a metal taste. I experience it with only certain foods and

with cheap utensils.

I can can only eat ice cream with a plastic fork because of it. I know its not

because I have alot of iron in me because I am anemic!

Metal Taste

Hi,

I'll be 4 years post-op in December. I have been noticing a " metal " taste in my

mouth quite often lately. Has anyone else experienced this? I think I remember

some discussion about it a couple of years ago, but can't remember what was said

about it. It's like I have been sucking on pennies or something! Yuck!

Anyway, just wanted to see what anyone has to say about the matter.

Thanks,

I had a metallic taste when I had gallbladder problems. I had it removed -

no more metal taste.
