I thought you all might have some opions on this story. I know I do.

Several weeks ago I had a CT scan and lumbar mylegram. The results

are in. I saw the " doctor " last Friday. This was the frist time

heard the R word (revision) applied specifically to me. My spine is

like a house of cards, and unles something really goes sproing, they

are going to leave it alone. When it " breaks " it should really go, at

least that's the feeling I got. I have pain but not anywhere near as

much as some of you. I can get away from it and my life is still

fairly normal. I really am okay " as is " for now. I had not had

anyone look at my spine seriously since 1975, and it was time for a

base line of tests and information to be in the system.

The weird thing was that I requested a copy of the CT report and the

doctor told me NO. He quote was: " go live your life, I don't want you

to worry about it " . I'll get a copy of that report, but I thought

that response was unappropriate. I won't mention a name, but I am not

impressed with this guy, and he would not be the one to ever do any

surgery on me. Anyone else ever heard that phrase from a doctor before?

I am impressed with the fact that I was able to contact on-line the

doctor that did my original fusion in 1968 - Dr. Eugene Bleck. He

answered me back! He is 83, retired from Stanford, and doing well.

Obviously, his work on me did a great job for 38 years. Let's hope it

holds for a while longer.

Thanks for reading!
